Would a revised Wii U make any sense? You'd think if anything nintendo is probably much closer to shutting down production of the Wii u than they are to starting production of a new version of a product that sells so poorly.
Vita means life.I like it. How can a console called the Win fail?

edit: fuck
look at this fucking thing:
It makes me think of the OG Nintendo DS.
They have to make that shit sleeker and smaller, along with a cheaper revision.
You really shouldn't write off rumours like this completely. Remember how people thought it'd be absurd for Nintendo to drop 3D? And guess what, 2DS appears! Don't underestimate Nintendo in terms of doing silly things.
I doubt it is a new console but I hope it is. Nothing will save the Wii:U. Drastic measures need to be taken and Nintendo needs to be bold. They can do this by releasing a new console.
BUT, that's wishful thinking. Don't get your hopes up. It will probably be some minor revision to the 3DS or Wii:U.
Didn't someone post in one of the Wii U CPU/GPU discussion threads late last yr that Nintendo had selected key parts for a piece of new hardware? I recall something like that being posted but can't find the post.
I wish more developers lacked that much talent.
No, it wouldn't.

There's silly things, and then there are things that would erode consumer faith in the company and potentially destroy their business.
I will be so incredibly surprised if they revealed completely new handheld or consoles at E3 this year. Mark my words.
Do you remember what happened with the Saturn & Dreamcast?
She-what?Didn't you get the memo? Nintendo still haven't learned shaders.
Worst case: what's the one thing none of us want but Nintendo insists on?
Best case: Wii-Uculous Rift googles or something

Well, do you remember the Virtual Boy?
That was just poor design and timing. Nintendo needs a new contemporary console with achievements, online play, modern hardware, etc., and if it's BC with WiiU great to turn things around. The WiiU will fail and flop harder.

Serious question: has any rumor about Nintendo pre-e3 ever turned out to be true?
Nintendo was looking for a new SOC, which lines up well with the 3DS and its announcement.
Virtual Boy wasn't a replacement to either the GameBoy or the SNES. These would be. It's different.
Since when did achievements make a console good? Also, the Wii U is modern hardware. May be underpowered compared to its counterparts, sure, but it's modern.
Yup. Wii U's controller leaked more than a month ahead of time.
Absolutely without question.
What would Nintendo Devs do with that much power? They are still learning last gen tech and haven't topped PS3's best games. Console power isnt their problem. It's now developer talent that they lack, at least on the graphics front.

In what world is PowerPC modern?
Really hoping this isn't true, feels like a slap in the face for everyone who bought a wii u for them to just trash it do soon.
Hopefully, if it I don't true, people who own site wii u get some kind if discount, and the new system better be backwards compatible.
