My massive complaint is that people are posting porn on the threads and it's really annoying. I'm at home just now but soon I'll be at work and Neogaf is one website I view over lunch and I can't with these risks. I've told my sister in law about it so she has blocked it on the PC at hers as her son who is 8 likes to go on and read about games.

I think in Evilores post it said they won't disclose who the mods are anymore. I don't think that's the right call because then people like Besada could go completely crazy without anyone noticing but we will have to see.

I hope this backfires on the mods that abandoned GAF, Evilore gave them his trust by making them mods, but they won't even trust that he's inoccent. In the end, it's Evilore's fault for putting so much faith into SJW.
I am hopeful that GAF will become a better place, especially with out those who are trying to leech off GAF at it's weak state instead of supporting it. I think it's a pretty accurate description lol. A lot of people wouldn't post because if they weren't 100% on board a particular view they were at risk of getting dogpiled/bullied and banned. Nothing unhealthy about calling it what it is/was (hopefully).
Still a lot of good communities and knowledgeable people that made this worth it over the other forums.

Neogaf was always an echo chamber with people climbing over one another to espouse themselves as the most morally superior while any actual discussion was killed off by members trying to climb to the highest level of dog piling of members offering some semblence of intellectual discussion; what remained after the dog piling and overzealous moderation was an echo chamber of people who were simply trying to say the 'right thing' even if it was actually intellectually dishonest. Many members live in a world of naive idealism and surround themselves with feel good opinion pieces and comments that support their world views that reinforce their ideals; they dont want to be challenged nor do they want to discuss anything to the contrary in case it deflates their safe bubble they have existed in.
That's why shit like this has caused the most epic of meltdowns. How could this bastion of moral high ground be built upon lies, deception and hypocrits? Simple, it was always there; you just lived long enough to know when to not get involved in the conversation or you played the 'do as I say not as I do' mantra.
