Just do it. It's unique and affordable, it's an exclusives machine, the games are top shelf, it has backwards compatibility and no subscription nonsense. I have neglected playing on it because of the new car smell of my Xbox One and PS4, but I miss it so much that I sold my basic to a friend and ordered a deluxe so it will match my other systems. I love my Xbox One and PS4, but the Wii U is just something special and feels more like a friendly old console to me.

This indie game would have sold me on a Wii U in a heartbeat, if it had actually been released. But right now it's in development-hell.

Wii U with a pro controller is awesome, should have been like that from the start. Regardless, it's a fine machine with some truly outstanding games. I don't care if you don't care for smash, GET SMASH. It's fantastic.

I wasn't impressed much with the 3DS until Fire Emblem came out in 2013 and since then it's been a near constant slate of quality games from Nintendo and other Japanese developers. So before that time, I would have agreed with you.

I've been enjoying the Wii U since day one primarily because I don't play often enough to wear out Nintendo's slow release schedule that mostly consists of high-quality first-party titles. Knowing I have a big back log on the Wii U, I bet you can only imagine what my Steam back log looks like...
