PSP is still hanging in there and selling software... What a weird situation Sony is in.

I mean, Wii is basically over and done with, 360 never was, so if/until Wii-U makes a splash they basically are the console market in Japan. On the handheld side they are dealing with a Nintendo who's basically had to cannibalize their profits and existing product line to establish the 3DS, while they have one product that wont't spring to life and another that refuses to die!

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
If you haven't noticed, first post updated. :D If I have the possibility, tomorrow I'd like to put also what's coming this week in the OP.

Another thing: on Sinobi, there's something about KH3D, in the first page. Anyone who can translate it?

What, just the Famitsu score, previous titles sales numbers, and mentioning the anniversary edition? There's nothing new really, just a general announcement.

I thought the message under the three SKUs, aside from the LTD of 358/2 Days and Re:coded was containing something about preorders / expectations...

MH3G bundles not effective HW-wise, but the game increase its weekly result. I think that the aim was to continue support the game itself (bundle with axisting 3ds unbranded colors) as for next MarioLand bundles.

Good start for Nobupoke or whatever.

Hatsume Miku surpasses the 100K mark, and in a couple of weeks also Mario&Sonic will hit this little milestone. Already a lot of +100K games for 3ds.

MGS3ds not so bad, really comparable with other previous silly portings of the series...

One Piece hardly will hit the million mark, but still great result.

Unless something ridiculous happens the 3DS is going to catch the PS3 before the holidays.

By the end of the year, but not before the holidays. If the 3DS averages 70k a week, and the PS3 stopped selling, the 3Ds would surpass it in 38 weeks. There are not that many weeks until the holiday season. It will surpass PS3 by Dec 31st, 2012 though.

[PS3] Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition # <ADV> (Konami) {2011.11.10} (¥4.980) - 12.721 / 52.464 (-68%)

The HD Edition data is from Famitsu charts, since it charted 22nd for Media Create in the second week, so no data.

EDIT:And according to some I know who have translated that Sinobi bit about KH3D, it seems it says that it has less preorders than the precedent ones, but female audience could bring on some legs. Now, I don't think they're also talking about Kh Re:coded as a precedent, but still...first not good third party result on 3DS?

Kid Icarus might exceed Nintendo's initial expectations (whatever they were) as the demand for it is increasing the last days and wholesalers face supply problems.

I'm curious about exactly how close Vita can get to Dreamcast.

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if the PSV eventually crossed streams with the Dreamcast.

How is this newest 3DS Harvest Moon tracking compared to previous Harvest Moon titles? Anyone know how good it is?

I'm pretty sure that it's tracking phenomenally well for the series.

The exact numbers were posted in a previous Media Create Sales thread.

YES
THANK YOU LADY PALUTENA

Palutena: Surely, that money spent for making people buy the game has done its job!
Pit: So...now can you give me the real flight power?
Palutena: We'll see, now blast some other enemies, just for fun.
Pit: But
Palutena: Remember. BIG MONSTERS KILL PIT GRR
Pit: Uff...

That's excellent then. Although I hope Nintendo's expectation wasn't low enough that it doesn't seem that impressive.

Given the amount of marketing, I don't think their expectations could've been that low.

I haven't seen marketing for KI in Japan but if the US is anything to go by it's pretty extensive. Although that's not indicative of their expectations. I imagine Iwata gave Sakurai a pretty good deal so that he would return to Nintendo. The amount of resources given to Sakurai have been extremely extensive perhaps major marketing was another part of the deal to keep Sakurai satisfied. Or perhaps Nintendo is really confident that it will catch on via word of mouth or something.

Legasista was made by System Prisma, the devs behind ClaDun.
(It's basically HD ClaDun.)

So I really hope it comes out here.

Nice results overall. DS still knows how to move software lol. This only gets me excited as to how B&W2 is going to sell!!

And news about Kid Icarus are very encouraging, i hope the game holds up and gains some reputation so that Pit can join the nintendo roster as a main mascot... if that can happen.

If Animal Crossing & Oni Training/Brain Age 3DS are released this summer 3DS will certainly have a sales bump which will help it to cross the 8M before end of the year I think. And we don't yet know what to expect after E3.

Miku dropped like a rock :/

and yeah new format is all weird

Mirai's second week was better than the first Project Diva's.

[PSP] Hatsune Miku: Project Diva (SEGA) - 14,268 / 116,000 (-86%)
[3DS] Hatsune Miku and Future Stars: Project Mirai (Sega) - 18.341 / 105.017 (-79%)

Could signal better legs, but we'll have to wait and see. Media Create did note last week that its sales audience split included more females than the Project Diva games.

what do you mean "return"? was he ever gone? must have missed that... oO

Err, kinda.

I think it was back in 2003 or 2004 after Air Ride that he left due to being tired of sequels.

In that period he formed Sora, and helped Q? create Meteos for the DS. He also apparently helped out with a Mushi King game of sorts, WTF?

Nintendo then got together with him after announcing Smash 3 at E3 2005, but said game didn't even exist yet. He gave Sakurai full reign over the game, they even made an office IIRC just for the game.

Back in Jan 2009 I think it was, Nintendo and Sakurai formed Project Sora, which is majoritly owned by Nintendo (pretty much as a 1st Party) while Sora owns their own chunk, and Kid Icarus Uprising was born. And will be making Smash 4 for 3DS and Wii U.

So he did leave, but was still a close ally, now he seems to be back full-time.

Those sell many times more than NA games. And they're not really related.

Well, not gameplay-wise, but they should be related at least in terms of theme and characters. :p
