NHL 18 is pretty much the same game as last year's.

What’s kind of sucked me in is expansion to 32 teams within Franchise Mode. Pretty sure I spent like an hour or more messing around with it. I made a Seattle team, but there’s no “Mets” or “Metropolitans” play-by-play name, so I went with one of the defaults and made their third jersey a replica of the striped Metropolitans jersey. Close enough.

Sorry, 'exactly' was the wrong word to use there. He's said that people EA deems key are kept around. But they're in the minority, and to keep costs down they layoff most of the staff after development is completed.

That makes more sense. They need to fire those people too then. The ones they keep have absolutely no idea where theyre going with the series.

I think Duchene probably wants this over but that doesn't mean a trade necessarily. I also think Sakic has made mistakes but I think he's doing the right thing putting the franchise needs over a core player who gave up last year.
