So, what's the good word on friendcodes, if any, fellas?

No mention... although there does seem to be functionality there which wouldn't work if friendcodes were in play.

I find it hard to believe they'd be completely gone - Nintendo have more reason than most to fear SURPRISE PENIS - but I could see them perhaps being an opt-in feature.

I actually thought it was decent. At least compared to usual videogame skits. Made me genuinely smile at parts, but it's not like I'd watch it again lol

The 360 controller is the best standard controller. Its d-pad is horrible though. The Wii U Pro controller has some changes, yes, but the one that really matters is the superior d-pad.

As for the presentation, I enjoyed it. I think that one of the many issues with the Wii's online structure was that it lacked decent community features. It seems like, with Wii U, Nintendo is tackling the community aspect and then some; they've really brought things up to speed it seems, with all those social integration features. Good for them. Looks like a winner.

I'm looking forward to the E3 presentation. It's great that they now have the time to focus mostly on games!

He was touting [Zelda's] HD graphics on the TV and Gamepad....or maybe I misunderstood?

That's what I thought too! Love that you can see Peach's castle in the far background as well. Nice touch.
