st example: 1st episode, when Del is confronting Bruce and company about skimming money from the cartel
nd example: 1st episode again, right after the above scene, when Marty Byrde is convincing Del of a business opportunity in the Ozarks
rd example: The scene after Ruth steals $3 million from Marty Byrde. Marty confronts Ruth and the rest of the Langmores and they have a wonderful back and forth. Marty's repeated use of the phrase "And don't forget, the only way for any of this to work is for you to kill me" was incredible.
th example: The scene where Marty Byrde meets with Bobby Dean, strip club owner, in jail. And he slowly reveals that he knows the strip club is a money laundering front and that he is in possession of the club's bearer shares.
th example: The next scene, when Bobby Dean meets with Jacob Snell after he's lost the club to Marty Byrde. Jacob Snell tells a parable of a redneck and a hillbilly.
th example: The argument between Wendy and Marty Byrde late in the season, which kept cutting mid-argument to Charlotte's precarious swim at the lake.
th example: When Russ Langmore is trying to convince Ruth to incriminate herself, Ruth realizes what Russ is doing, puts on a sinister smile and says "I have no idea, it was your idea to kill Marty this whole time" and then emphatically and triumphantly pokes his chest with her finger.
th example: Last episode, when Marty Byrde, Jacob Snell, Darlene, and Del are having a sit-down, discussing the riverboat casino and the Snells' political / vengeful aspirations. This scene in particular ended violently (this was awesome) - not all of the show's awesome conversations end that way. The point stands that there's something about this show's dialogue that really stands out.
