Anybody got any tips using that sniper girl that looks like Tracer?
All I'm doing so far is sitting back and sniping.
I started using her recently because i had some free crystals and I bought her set, I had to have about 11 wins to unlock everything. So here's what I learned
If you've got good aim:
- Choose the Eagle Eye Legendary, with a headshot you can pretty much one shot all damages and flanks (if they haven't bought the direct damage item)
If you've got regular/bad aim:
- Choose Steady Aim or Suppression Legendaries. If you go with the suppression legendary, to fully take advantage of it, you should build a loadout that powers up your mines, but if there are flanks, you should probably use the vs flanks loadout.
This is my Suppression Loadout:
a) Amplitude 3
b) Quick scope 3
c) Octopressor 2
d) Open Season 1
e) Well Stocked 3
If there are flanks in the other team:
- Build a loadout that will let you quickly escape. This is my "Vs Flanks" loadout
a) Beam me up 4
b) Restore 2
c) Bob and Weave 2
d) Octopressor 1
e) Quick Scope 3
If there are no flanks in the other team (pretty rare, but it does happen):
- Build a loadoout to control the space between yourself and the enemies, since there are no flanks, it should be easier for you to keep your distance (except with a couple of characters, like maybe Pip or Drogoz)
So thats my input regarding loadouts depending on the opposing team. As for tips regarding in game, pretty much just learn the maps, cover the ways to you with mines placed where they can detect the enemy but without them being easily visible to them, so they can't just shoot it easily.
If you're one on one with someone close range, try to teleport away where your teammates are, if the guy kills you at least he'll probably get killed by your teammates.
You should always buy items to damage the more stationary targets, like the tanks. So if you're against a fernando/torvald/ruckus, the best item you can buy is wrecker to destroy their shields easily. Wrecker is not really necesary for Makoa or Barik, since their shields are not so great, if you're against them your best bet would be anti healing items if they've got a healer.
But yeah, lots of practice required to be good with her, and as you continue getting better, your ELO will increase and you'll face tougher competition.
