Actually Chie held back! Not a single kick. That anime was pretty good
Is it just me or did it seem that they were making Chie and Narukami a canon couple?
No, they hinted at Yu with all the girls, yet didn't have any balls to make a canon couple as to not piss off the fanbase. Hell, Yu had more romantic chemistry with Yosuke than any of the girls.
Personally I think that it comes down to two things: the cast and gameplay schedule. Being able to spend time hanging out with characters obviously fleshes them out a bit more, but learning about them gives a frame of context for their arc that they go through. In some cases you find yourself sympathizing and/or relating to these characters.
The gameplay schedule forces you play 1 day at a time and each that isn't allocated to a cutscene has periods of time during the day for activities (ie. during class, after class, night, etc.) This makes your activity choices significant since you don't have infinite time. Some characters can get pissed off at you if you ditch or ignore them, so planning your schedule has repercussions as well.
Also, don't ask about the drama club. Rule 1 about drama club is you don't talk about drama club.
Not really. There are only two social links that can get reversed, and they're only through choice options. From what I remember, none of them get pissed at you if you cancel or ignore them, which could either be a step up or step down from P3FES, depending on how hard you like your games.
I am looking forward to playing though P4 again, especially on the go. Doesn't matter if the new content isn't the best, at least they're not cutting corners like with P3P. Although I hope Atlus is better next gen. This current gen, all we got new SMT wise was both Devil Survivors, Strange Journey, and a goddamn fighting game, with the rest being ports. That's just sad. Things are looking better with SMTIV and P5 on the horizon.
Also, for those saying it will sell like hotcakes, I doubt it. I can see it getting around 60k like the fighting game did. Plus, it's on the Vita which doesn't have that much sales to begin with either. Persona has always been a niche title in the west, which isn't really a bad thing. Hell it's slightly a niche title in Japan compared to the other JRPGs like FF, Tales, and Dragon Quest.
