Great work. The geometry on these pillars and the balcony look a bit off, though. Maybe it's the textures or the lack of any shadows, I'm not sure, but it looks rather flat. No offense, though. You guys are doing transcendent work on this project.
Probably because it IS flat
Honestly, I think this is just a textured plane, no further geometry involved.

But that hedge. Are those leaves the actual source of the original texture, or just a very close match?
there is a line in the leaf texture that probably shouldn't be there

some kind of stitching/tiling issue? rest of it looks right but that spot (lower middle to the left)
Today some updates from Albert from the Salazar robot room (work in progress).
One thing you'll notice are updated reflections in the water. More shots and details / commenary at the site (re4hd.com)
Enjoy!
I'm sure once it's completed it will truly take off. It'll probably be the next DSFix in terms of being seen as mandatory. Please tell me the various gaming sites out there have picked up on this project. This is fantastic.
Basically duplicated the applicable parts / 3D models of the room upside down beneath the water. How did you do the reflections? Do you guys have some method of just "render the game world again but upside down" for the reflection? That comparison is seriously like someone took the reflections graphics slider from all the way left to all the way right.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll get that corrected shortly and will follow up here. Sorry for the trouble - I hope the other download link worked out (though more slowly).Just bought RE4 since Resident Evil is the daily deal for today! Where can I download the mod? I'm downloading from RE4hd but man it's so slow. The mega link is dead.

Another update! This time from the Salazar tower and the battle area where you fight him. A few more shots and a demo video are up at the site (re4hd.com)
Enjoy!
Just in case you missed it, you can see a "cut" in the hedge. Starting from the first HD text, go up and you can see what I mean. Some updates from the Garden Maze section tonight. Enjoy the work in progress!

No way I could miss it. ;-) Thanks!Just in case you missed it, you can see a "cut" in the hedge. Starting from the first HD text, go up and you can see what I mean.
It would be great if another talented artist helped out on it. They could start at the beginning of the game and work their way back until both sides meet in the middle.
But man. This mod is insane. Do want.
Wait I don't get it.
I never realized how ugly the original game was ? It sure as hell never felt that ugly ...
Impressive job though ! Would that work with the HD rerelease ?
