CosmicGroinPull said:He doesn't look like the hulk, so.... it's a good sign, I guess?
subversus said:yes, because artists vision of any character solely depends on the engine they use.

Fuck that.Rez said: The game also contains elements [when] 47 [is not] on assignments. These parts are more linear and are firearm-focused, cover, etc.
NOOOOOOOOOOOO

Nay for the actual info.
Any reason for not playing them? They're quite good, if you get past some design kinks. Try Blood Money, it's easy to get into.Jax said:Never played or wanted to buy a hitman game but I've seen the movie. Number 5 eh? Hmmm
It's just an attempt to draw in a new crowd. Apparently gamers are TERRIFIED if there's a 5 after the title since they've missed the four previous games.Foffy said:Seriously, what the fuck is with all of these reboots? Not only do they seem unwarranted simply due to the amount of them, but most of them do nothing but anger longtime fans. A cover system and emphasis on firefights in a Hitman game? What?!?
And hasn't the Hitman series been doing pretty well? I mean, when games were actually being released and all. Or did the movie destroy the quality of the games?
Seriously, it's not the worst if this is all true but I kinda agree. A large part of the series appeal to me has been in playing a well groomed and professional looking assassin, executing cool hits. Besides the piano wire my favorite murders are by shooting the targets in the heads with the silenced pistol - just because it looks and feels awesome. Doing that with a stubbled babyboy won't be the same.Sotha Sil said:... I think the stubble actually is the worst part here. Shitty artwork. Well, here's hoping it's all a bad dream.

Noisepurge said:wow, why make a reboot and not reboot it enough.
You know, from that picture the clothes are almost the same, has the same voice actor, the same codename...
If you reboot something, make it different enough.
There is no shame in calling it Hitman 5!
edit: But the previous games also did have kind of "go and shoot your way out" missions. Escaping the asylum, the hotel room with swat busting in... But they also did have alternate ways of completion.
But assignments still are the biggest part of the game, they just added shot phases between them.Raide said:Bleh. I actually wanted less gun-play. A cover based shooter is not what I really want from Hitman. Sad if true.

Agent 47 now has stubble!
Strong focus on story
47's "assignments" are open missions [like] in previous games

The game is developed parallel to the other hitman movie
You will get to play as more than 47 during the game, including a female assassin
David Bateson borrow again the voice of 47
Yeah, feels bad man.
I don't want those though, I just want the assignments. Hitman has always been best as a puzzle game, nothing else.Kurtofan said:But assignments still are the biggest part of the game, they just added shot phases between them.

If it's an MGS4esque take on the old formula, in that they make combat an actual option thanks to improved controls, I wouldn't be against it, but I really hope all the old systems remain in place.Kabouter said:I don't want those though, I just want the assignments. Is DR2 really the only or best example you can think of? :lolKikujiro said:It's like Dead Rising 2 all over again, people already shitting on the game and over-reacting.
People are reacting over what little information we have. What did you expect?Kikujiro said:It's like Dead Rising 2 all over again, people already shitting on the game and over-reacting.

I want to be able to plant a bomb in a suitcase, plant it outside a door and then finish the mission in five minutes as a result. That's something people don't really do anymore.
