Snake: Otacon, by the way, what's a Cell Processor?
Otacon: It's a revolutionary high-speed multi-core architecture chip. It can be used for a variety of operations, not just military.
Snake: Is it necessary to bring it to the battlefield?
Otacon: You're looking at the key to winning the console war.
Snake: With this Metal Gear?
Otacon: Yeah, let me show you what it can do...
Otacon: Hey Snake, what do you think about the new operation?...it'll be worth the wait!
Sumasshu said:To the original poster, you should probably add "SHANE DID NOT WRITE THIS" in bold red text to the original post, cause honestly I thought Shane wrote it until I went back and read what you wrote above the transcript, and apparently, others are having the same problem. The thread title was misleading.

mgs trailer said:CAMBELL (sony): "This order isn't a mission from Washington"= Redman Washington? Microsoft?
FootNinja said:tbh i believe it. No joke post here.
mrkgoo said:Exactly.
Anyway, I retract my previous comment. I was always under the impression that Shane had good grammar, which is why I was shocked that he had 'written' this.
You could claim we can't read, but even reading the original post it can easily be taken the wrong way, what with the title and all.
And seriously, it's not being 'grammar police' when people say you should just learn basic English. It will benefit you in the long run, and prevent you from looking dimwitted. It's not about being picky.

The 360 is the best thing to happen to the videogame industry in a long time.

Fight for Freeform said:Why would Kojima dislike the 360?
The 360 is the best thing to happen to the videogame industry in a long time. I could also say the same about the Wii.
The Jason said:In the latest 1up yours podcast Shane briefly mentions that he believes Kojima had a hidden message behind the latest MGS4 trailer. He proclaims that Kojima is secretly inserting a commentary about the console wars and Metal Gear Solid 4's involvement.... that kojima used the pre-raiden part of the trailer as a giant metaphor.
Hmmm why else would the trailer be so odd?
------SHANE DID NOT WRITE THIS TRANSCRIPTION, IT IS JUST HIS THEORY------
well here's the deal, I attempted to transcribe the dialog to reveal a secondary meaning to each line.
We have four characters in the trailer, Cambell, Snake, Meryl and Liquid. Cambell and Meryl are representative of sony, Snake is Kojima, and Liquid is Microsoft.
Lets examine the dialog, the transcription is in bold
there are probably many errors with my transcription but it does seem almost plausible considering the second half of the trailer was basically homosexual erotica between vamp and raiden.
zomg but the trailer played at sony's press conferenceMickeyKnox said:Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
Waging war as method of sustaining economy is NOT some clever jab at the console wars, it's a concept that has been explored before (and I cannot wait to see Kojima's take on it) Just because you can draw random parallels between two completely separate events doesn't always mean you should. Especially when you assume that one had influence on the other.
stay away from my familyPazuzu said:The OP has the transcript totally wrong (which is why it sounds like a stupid idea), but Kojima is definitely got two meanings in there, and is explaining what Sony expects from MGS4, and why he is leaving. If you don't see it you're crazy! The main mistake in the OP's transcript is that Liquid represents Nintendo, not Microsoft!
Kojima is explaining to us that Sony is expecting him to save them, and that the situation is the same as it was for the PS1 "1st generation?", and they need MGS4 to be a huge hit to counter Nintendo, but he says that's not what he does, "I'm no hero", so they tell him he can leave, "Fulfill his destiny".
There's alot more there about the gaming market, and Raiden represents someone...but it's very Kojima to tell us something this way.
But they're having so much fun eating ice cream right now....and I like your wifes dress...BamYouHaveAids said:stay away from my family
