Is there a PS4 mod that lets you create a new character and bypass the intro/tutorial/cutscenes?
I don't understand why, that shouldn't take outside resources right? It doesn't look like it, sadly. I just took a look through Bethesda's site, and all the alternate start/bypass the intro mods I can see are for either PC or XBox One.

Since this is my first playthrough of Skyrim, what do you guys recommend for the transformations?
Wolf or Vampire?
If you've modded vampirism so that it doesn't make you look like a tremendous dork, be a vampire.
Otherwise, be a werewolf.
(Or, reasonably, be a werewolf early in the game and then swap teams after you finish the werewolf-specific plotline. The most interesting vampire contents [Dawnguard] tends to come later, anyway.)
I just can't get into Skyrim anymore, not like day one. I suppose that's normal but it's dampening my ability to run through it again. I need that Skywind /Skyblivion mod or something.
I loaded the SE up, tons of mods, had fun in the beginning and just lost track/focus. I WANT to play through it again, I really do, but something isn't clicking.
Others experiencing this, or are there suggestions here? I'm a Bethesda fan, though the latest Fallout didn't do it for me at all either. I want those OG experiences again.
edit: Hello fellow Rangers fan! ^
I'm waiting desperately for something that makes the Thieves Guild storyline less stupid and/or tedious. I've pretty much just clenched my jaw and bulled my way through all the godawful Mercer Frey stuff again, but now I'm up to the point where you have to do five billion little jobs for the guild all over the map to restore the guild to its former glory.
Does the game tell you how many jobs you have left to do? Does it tell you where they need to be done? Do the NPCs giving out the jobs allow you to choose the location of the jobs so you don't have to needlessly repeat ones in locations you've already finished? If your answer to any of that is "Yes?", welcome to your first Bethesda game.
I've seen mods that ease all the tedium for the PC, but none of them seem to have made the leap over to the XBox yet. I live in hope.
I've been meaning to get into Skyrim modding, for portfolio purposes mainly, but I missed out on getting the new version. Is there a significant quality increase in the props themselves apart from a higher resolution and nicer water etc? I have a really old PC with a HD4870 Radeon card, but iirc, the original Skyrim ran fairly alright for me. I assume the editor requires higher specs these days? Finally, what happens if I make a mod in the old editor, and someone with the new game downloads it? They get the new props or the old ones?
Huh, that's surprising. So what's the point of the new version? :lol Just nicer water and god rays sorta? Sounds good to me, like I'm not really losing out if I decide to make an "old" mod then. There's no increase in polygons or texture resolution for any of the assets unless you use a mod, they are all the same as the original game.
You cant make a mod in the old editor for Skyrim Special Edition, its all different binaries.
Yeah it's really disappointing. I can't believe there's nothing that even lets you skip the intro/tutorial.So there are not worthy mods on PS4? That sucks.

Body replacement models on their own only cover the underwear/nude model. Armor models are technically their own body meshes. Usually the complementary armor remodels based on respective body replacers make the most sense to use for armors that show more of the base body such as exposed sleeves. Otherwise you might get inconsistencies like the hands not being properly connected to the arms when not wearing any gloves.
why dont we have immersive weapons yet?!
So yeah I've given up on playing through the game. For one, I simply can't deal with this buggy mess. And to my surprise the game itself is really not that good. I just fail to see how this game became so insanely popular. Maybe it's because I can't get into the story, or the characters.
And without mods the game looks like absolute shit, so playing vanilla is out of the question for me.
SKSE64 arrival is estimated as March by one of the mod authors. Looks like I won't be playing this for a while and even then authors will need to make their mods work with SKSE64.
Whats.. whats Immersive Weapons?, precious

Thanks for the update. Beyond SKSE, how close is PC SE to mod parity with the original now, you think?
So many mods hinge on SKSE, so we're not really close to parody yet. Even some existing mods on SSE are hindered by the lack of SKSE (Frostfall, iNeed). Beyond that, environmental texture mods still need updating, I don't think there's anything as broad as Skyrim HD as of yet. There's also a lack of mods that improve on draw distance. Looking at my Skyrim tracked mods on Nexus, I still have 43 mods that haven't been ported over yet.
I'm really excited for Skywind, it seems to be a high quality project that'll give Skyrim and SSE new life.
Yeah I tested midianborn which works fine, but most LOD mods do contain an esp.I believe all original Skyrim texture mods work, as long as it doesn't have an .esm or an .esp and are just textures. I've got probably 40 original Skyrim texture packs running in my version right now.
