Those hoping Sonic Boom will make it to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are out of luck. Steve Singer, Nintendo's VP of licensing, was at the event to emphasize that Sonic Boom represents the second of three planned Sonic exclusives for Nintendo machines.
Second?
Using CryEngine 3? No way man.
Wonderful 101 has points where it dips below 15. It's not the game, it's the system.
30 fps, definitely.
Second?
Second?
Hi guys,
Couple of new screenies for you:
Second?
Second?
It's safe to assume 30fps, right???
Yeah lol
oh god kill it with fire
Oh cool, more running fast in straight lines.
When was S&M confirmed? There was plenty of Mario Olympic games before the deal, so it could very easily be true that the newest game isn't apart of the deal at all.
I wonder if this might be a timed exclusive. Exclusivity deal or not, it seems a little weird to me that Sega would want to go exclusive with this game. They seem to be putting a lot of effort into the Sonic Boom brand and I'm sure that they've got high expactations/hopes for it, too. Whether or not the game is what fans long for, the trailer makes a really polished impression and using the CryEngine to power the game is not what you would expect from a cheap cash-grab, either.
Sonic is the most popular on Nintendo platforms, but in this specific case I'm surprised Sega is willing to place its eggs solely on a platform that might limit its potential. Well, in the console space at least. The 3DS version would likely easily become the best-selling one anyway.
Edit: Feels dumb to post this right after Nibel's quote! :lol
It's a kids tv show. Changes gotta be made. The bandages look ridiculous though.Oh Sega, what have you done?
That's what I'm thinking. I want to see more footage, but I'm pretty sure that's where the 'Sonic' is going to be, and everything else is gonna be some other type of gameplay.
Oh Sega, what have you done?
Have just been going through my 'The History of Sonic', specially the character section, with all the assets, good times, never forget.
With this, the 3-game deal with Sega expires and they can release Sonic for any platform they desire.
That's why Sonic Team is working on Sonic for next gen, and why Sonic Boom is getting outsourced.
Did a quick photoshop reconstruction of the bodyshapes (mainly legs):
Much better.Did a quick photoshop reconstruction of the bodyshapes (mainly legs):
Amy's head is massive compared to her body (in the art at least)
Oh Sega, what have you done?
Fit-GAF, what's that thing called where gym people mess up and their legs look really thin like these characters but have barrel chest?
Not sure if these better quality images have been posted already. From destructoid link in OP.
