I am actually in amazement that you actually consider that a loss.
Winry doesn't use alchemy and neither does many other characters in the show.
It's like saying your obvious Mary Sue isn't so because you tacked on one lousy trait. Cleaning up everything at the end and making everyone happy is for fairy tales. A story about the Iraq war would still have plot points relating to things occurring today. Reality doesn't have these fixed endings where the enemy is defeated and the world is saved. There are unresolved issues in every conflict and I believe it is far better to leave some characters on their quest and in their own story, rather than unrealistically making everyone's battle culminate at one arbitrary point.
The whole point of that ending was that the one thing that Ed and Al thought would make their lives better and bring back their mother is the one thing that was holding them back entirely. Ed's sacrifice takes the series full circle, back to why the whole series started in the first place.

This isn't a 1-1 analogy but a close example would be Indiana Jones in The Last Crusade. He was just as obsessed as his father was in regards to getting the grail. However due to his experiences with his dad and realizing all the sacrifices made for this stupid cup, he figured out that the Grail wasn't really important. He had progressed enough as a person to 'let it go'.

FMA:B's ending harkens back in a similar manner to Ed's pride.

Gundam unicorn 2-4
Episode 2 is just a bit slow and mostly buildup for the main protagonist that gets its payoff by episode 3, nice couple episodes there, episode 4 is mecha fighting sex, explosions and mechs everywhere, but also characters that are introduced but than are later just killed off for some reason, forgiven since it kept the hype up in the last 30 mins or so.

Saekano -How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend episode 1

Gonna be honest, started watching this because I saw a specific gif on the internet.

Gundam: Reconguista in G 26:
Well, this was a completely rushed ending that answered almost nothing, and there seemed to be about 13 episodes worth of missing content in the middle of the episode, but Tomino did follow through on the only thing I asked from him for the final episode, so I guess I'll count that as a win?

The first half to two thirds of this episode was actually pretty good, but then all of a sudden stuff was happening for no reason, characters' motivations seemed to shift on a dime, and everything ended with almost no questions being resolved. This was clearly a much longer show that got crushed down to 26 episodes, and it really winds up hurting for that.

In spite of the lackluster ending and the lack of clarity on a lot of points, I can honestly say that I enjoyed the experience of watching this show from week to week. The complaints people have about it are definitely valid, but I still enjoy Tomino's specific brand of storytelling quite a bit, and while the ending shit the bed a little bit, I really did like the story for most of the season, and I feel like the characters were all pretty enjoyable to watch (especially Klim Nick). The show might not be 'good' on a technical level, but it was a show that I'm very glad exists, and I would like to see Tomino get at least one more full length series in while he still has the chance.

Was it the gif of dem legs?

More like a gif of a certain action happening and wanted to confirm if they actually went through with it or if it was one of those things thats not sexual but is clearly sexual like the old waking someone up from bed by jumping on their junk sthick.

Girl seemed to be dry humping the guy on the ground, she was wearing white thigh highs.

Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere - 9

I swear, if Tori
actually becomes king by the end of this first season, I'll probably laugh my ass off.

Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere - 10

I swear, if Tori doesn't pull off some kind of giga attack or SOMETHING by the end of this first season, then I'll might just flip a desk. I mean, he's the main character next to Horizon and we've yet to see ANYTHING from him at this point other than his hijinks.

PriPara 38

The next episode on TV Tokyo's page is labeled "39", so while this is a "season finale", it ends on such an obvious hook for the next season, which, though it marks a clear difference in goals and merchandise, that I can't really say it provides closure for anybody but Falulu.

Spoilers incoming.

So Falulu, having been turned into a real girl, has her first birthday party even though she looks about 15, and Unicorn departs, giving up her horn in the process, until she Digivolves into her true form (above) and Falulu flies off, Rinne-like, into the starry sky to start all over again in being an idol. Did she leave the PriPara world? Can she? I mean, in theory, you'd think she could, but it's clear her role in this story is done, clearing the way for Aroma and Mikan to take over the proceedings.

Also, Meganee is a fickle god. After spending the whole season getting them to form teams, they're being broken up for seemingly no good reason other than a new season is starting. Truly, every man is an island. The finale was pretty nice for this season, truncated by a cour thought it was, but much like Aikatsu, it's clear that it's not over yet.

The only other entry in the Pretty Rhythm franchise I've seen is Rainbow Live, so I have a special attachment to that one. I saw a few episodes of Aurora Dream, but never got very far into it. But I know that PriPara is different. There are almost no guys around for the girls to romance, leading to Aikatsu-levels of yuri. But not Aikatsu levels of healing. There was miscommunication, betrayal, and tulpas (that's the proper term for what Falulu was. I looked it up. Thanks, Idea Channel!) discovering basic humanity.

And if you spent these three cours reading my posts, you probably believe it's about a consumerist idol utopia run by a glasses-wearing goddess and her army of clones, plus one dude, who impose a Wonderlandian set of laws upon those who step through its borders, and then get rich off them. Death of the Author. I can find sufficient evidence to back up the idea that freeing Meganee from her prison of clothes distribution in the Rhythm franchise fundamentally changed the nature of this world.

I wished they had done more with the Saints other than teasing them, but I think that's what the movie's about. I also have to praise the series for Leona. Breaking the gender mold of what's acceptable for a guy to do. He's more "cute" than fabulous, but other than one episode, nothing is really made of it. Leona is Dorothy's brother, he likes to wear dresses and sing and might be interested in starting a yaoi relationship with Meganii. And nothing is ever disparaged or even really discussed about this. It's just how things are.

Plus I love Mirei. She's a different beast than Ann - you can't leave it to her when it comes to sweets, and she doesn't have nearly as much chemistry with a Maaya Uchida character. I'm extremely glad that Yuu Serizawa looks to be rising in the anime world - she already has a major non-PriPara role lined up for this summer. May the rest of the cast be blessed with such fortune.

While I liked Rainbow Live's interpersonal dynamics more (Rinne is adorable), PriPara has a fun technomagical world that feels like it's slyly commenting on the idol world as much as it is promoting it. I mean, they have training dungeons! That are almost literal dungeons! What kind of god are you, Meganee?

With next season's idols having an "angel" and "devil" motif, I suspect the amount of theorizing I'll be doing will only be going up. I have some good omens about what's ahead.

PriPara and the Pretty Rhythm franchise are a treat. This message is Midonin-approved. Capisce!

Boingo eps are too good, mostly due to the art in his Stand though.

Your Lie in April - End

I'm just going to sleep. That entire letter...

It's been a while since I was hit so hard by an anime. Loved this series.

Exactly how I felt.
Every week she kept getting more and more pale. I kept denying it until the inevitable happened. I can't deal with these types of shows lol!

Nah man, you dont watch this shit and you let other people screencap them for you. That's what I did for Sister New Devil Testament Maou or whatever it's called and that's what I'll do for Highschool HxH

That's tech.

Gundam SEED - 25

As much as I hate episodes like this, I actually kind of needed this little refresher after putting this show on hold for so long.

At least DxD has the decency to actually be porn unlike, well, most of the ecchi stuff that gets trotted out season to season.

Death Parade - END
I'll probably post more detailed thoughts tomorrow, but I thought it was an alright ending to a really good series. I felt the ending could have been... more than it was. And my issues about inconsistencies in the plot remain. But it ended up being a strong show overall, and certainly unique.

Oh God I just realized I put HxH instead of DxD.

I miss HxH, gonna go listen to Departure

Brah even if you got mixed up you still need to watch High School DxD. It's legitimately one of the best lewdest anime that makes fun of itself.

Some really fuckin good smut, plus it actually has a story. Pretty much my guilty pleasure.

I already read enough smut garbage, gotta keep one of these industries clean.

Now if you'll excuse me I need to look for good pictures for the Soma OT

I'm so excited for this. Given where the manga is at, I wondering if this season might actually run to the end of the manga. So much great material still needs to be covered

I don't follow the manga, so how many episodes do you think we can get before it outpaces again? Enough for 26?

There is a 125 chapter difference from where the anime last left off and usually they adapt 2 chapters per episode (And even sometimes they just use 1 chapter per episode and put original content to fill it up) for Gintama.
