I want instrument-playing minigames or the universe won't feel realistic. If I can't get an 80-person org together to play Rachmaninoff's third concerto on board an Origin 890 Jump, I'll riot.

First implementation will probably just be a golf-swing anyway, right?
Yes. Hit every note on the beat within a certain range on the meter or else your note will sound sharp or flat and displease the audience. Displease them too much and the pirates in the audience will draw their firearms on you.
Ahh. Noice. You have no idea how bad I've wanted a Greenfield since I became serious about acoustic. Alas I don't have 10k to sink on a guitar. Those and Rainsong are top of my list for acoustics.
Ahh. Noice.
I hope you enjoyed the vid.
That facial animation stuff sounds insane.
You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed it.I know I did. Thanks for sharing it.

Damn, thats good photo.
Well that's something I cannot not-reply to,here is my girl:
Aceshighhhh, what guitar is that?
I'll stop off-topic'ing now, I promise.
Well I melted down my Avenger and Reliant Kore and got myself a Freelancer. For playing with me + a friend that's probably a better bet I think.
Any chance for a 2.6 PTU release after the show?
Roberts Space Industries is preparing to launch the Polaris, the most advanced corvette ever constructed. Enjoy your first look at a page from the lead ship’s commissioning brochure.
Perhaps a mission from early game.So how finished / polished do you reckon the S42 mission playthrough is going to be on Sunday? Do you think we're going to see a proper story mission (maybe just a part of it, if it's a long one) ... or are they going to show a vertical slice type of conglomerate, something that serves as a proof of concept more than anything. Obviously with S42 specific stuff on show, such as ships, characters and locations, otherwise it doesn't really make sense classifying it as a S42 mission.
If this ever turns out to be a real scam, it has to be the best damn scam ever, or BDSE to call it.
Polaris Mess sneak peek from the newsletter.
Polaris just went on sale for "VIPs".
Here's what it looks like:
Polaris just went on sale for "VIPs".
Looks kind of like the Anaconda from Elite.
But I'm probably looking at it from the very shallow standpoint of basic geometric shape.
Important note to mention, store credits disabled for sale. I hope no VIPS melted limited stuff in anticipation for this.
I don't know. I am not quite liking the look of this. Or the details.
At a glance I can see how that springs to mind.
Well, it's not as bad as it looks. It says on the page: "The regular Polaris sale on Sunday will allow for store credit purchases."
So you will be able to buy it with store credit, but not at its discounted price.
Got the email for the presale, when I first got to the page the issuing serial numbers were still 001-100, but I can't afford it and watching those numbers quickly rise is killing me inside.
Badass.
Polaris Mess sneak peek from the newsletter.
Love it.
Damn, that's one tiny cockpit. Says a lot about the ship's size.
like ants...
Yeah I just don't see myself purchasing this ship outright. Maybe melt a few to get one. But nothing is driving me to get this.
Not like the first time I saw the Retaliator. No love at first sight.
Polaris vs Kingship:
Badass.
I'm inclined to agree with you. But it's fulfilling the original role of the Idris...
Ok then, I got a question guys. When I pledged $250 during the Kickstarter I told myself that was all I was ever going to spend on this game, but as the game has expanded in scale and scope I find myself struggling to keep that mentality lately.
I can't afford dropping ridiculous amounts of money into this game, but I do want to start with one of the best ships for making UEC, so I'm able to earn other ships faster and easier. Do you think my best bet would be the Endeavor? I'd upgrade my Andromeda to the Discovery-class, which would cost $200. Not sure how well I'd be able to make UEC at first with it by itself, as I'll probably be playing solo a lot of time. My immediate goal would be to purchase the landing bay module, as well as two ships that will fit in it and synergize well together like the Terrapin and Prospector. The combination of these three ships should allow me to effeciently make money even when playing by myself and without AI. The playstyle would be this: Park the Endeavor in high-sec space (preferably next to a UEE station), go out and explore/gather data in the Terrapin, come back and take the Prospector out to mine locations you found with the Terrapin, come back to sell the info gathered by the Terrapin, analyze/enhance the minerals you mined with the Prospector and do other research and experiments all while your Endeavor is hauling the cargo you collected (salvage/raw minerals) en route to a buyer. This allows you to multitask professions with relatively low risk and you're capable of doing it all by yourself. I think this is a great idea. The other option I'm thinking of is upgrading to a Carrack. It's cheaper, has everything I want already included and I do want to explore, but since I'm relying solely on the exploration profession I'm not sure how profitable it will be.
What are your thoughts on this? Appreciate it.
Sounds like a plan but tis a very large ship with only 2 unmanned turrets. Neither the terrapin or the prospector is suited for fighting. You may make some cash quick, but you also may be a big moving target for pirates and any other player that wants to try out some boarding mechanic or simply attack another ship.
EDIT: But if a Terrapin can fit in a Polaris, that may have givven me a reason to invest in ship. Thanks for the idea.
