Love that object motion blur, most noticeable in fist fights.
Are there any games where the controls get tighter as you go through, representing the character's acclimatisation to their actions, without visual upgrades ala bar-filling and XP?
Yes, all of them. The acclimatisation happens in your head.
God. I just want to hang out there. Go there on vacation.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
As you go through the game, you get to update your skills, you can get better at riding a bike, driving, piloting a plane, etc. A lot of people forget that, but that was part of what made GTA:SA so awesome. I hope this upgrade in TLOU is similar to that and that they have that in GTAV come to think of it.
Yeah how does it not fit the game exactly?
She is a 14 year old that for the first time seeing all this stuff in the world.
Play-testers cried multiple times during gameplay and cutscenes according to Bruce and Neil:

http://www.polygon.com/2013/5/17/4339288/the-last-of-us-ps3-e3-preview-naughty-dogThe aspect of The Last of Us we'd have liked to seen was the game's multiplayer mode. We haven't seen a second of it to date, despite the fact that the game is out in less than a month. Straley and Druckmann wouldn't explain why Naughty Dog was holding the reveal of the game's online multiplayer until the last minute, but both seemed excited to finally reveal it. The lack of exposure seemed more grounded in helping to guard an interesting secret, rather than apprehension about how it would be received, since Straley and Druckmann stressed that they wanted people to see more of the single-player campaign before they exposed the game's multiplayer component.
This looks like what Tomb Raider 2013 should have been. And funny enough is a Naughty Dog game, the people behind the Dude Raider series XD
Everything about this game reminds me of RE4.This is more of what I think Resident Evil should have been...
I wish I could have seen the bow in action.
Should make for a good stealth weapon.

I more talking in terms of they way you explore.I mean... a little maybe.
Idk, I'm not the huge RE4 fan like a lot of gaf and honestly what I see in TLoU is an organic and fluid feel to movement and control that RE games could only dream of. It's not without similarities, but for my money, I'm kinda more excited about how it's different.
But I think I get what you're saying...
Are you sure? I saw the video and didn't notice any spoilers.WARNING !!!
On the sony channel there is a spoiler about the ending, when they interview Gustavo. DO NOT GO THERE!
Keep it up! 1 month to go!
Edit: Just to be clear, it's not in the comment section, but the in the video itself

NOPE!! I'll take your word, I'm glad I didn't noticed it.Mark 3:05 you could "hear" something.
Speaking of which, I notice the previews are pretty scarce. Heck, Destructoid JUST got theirs up and I really want to see what Rev3 games & Gamespot and other major media outlets' impressions.
That is not a real spoiler. We know that there will be some heartbreaking moments in the game with sad music. This is public knowledge, Druckmann tweeted multiple times about it and says it in every interview.WARNING !!!

It does seem quite similar in that way... even though RE4 was a mostly solitary romp.
Well there's RE4, you know, that little game of whom most games (action/adventures ones) aspire to be. XDThis is more of what I think Resident Evil should have been...
RE keeps coming back into the conversation. Do you remember Ashley? First time an scort mission was well executed.Bioshock infinite's elizebeth is going to look like a terrible AI companion after we experience ellie.

Everyone should expect it in a game about Zombies anyway...
For some reason I think we'll get some MP news around E3
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=58054814&postcount=256What I can tell you right now is that, take all these things we’ve been talking about – this pressure to survive, this high lethality, this limited resources, this crafting, these upgrades – and now go head-to-head with somebody else. So that spirit that we’ve captured in the single player, you’re gonna feel it, you’re gonna really feel that in the multiplayer. And that’s really all I can say right now.
Contextual out-of-cutscene chatter is perhaps the single most important change in direction that cinematic linear games need to take and TLoU makes a big commitment in this field and I hope it catches up in a more mainstream fashion.

The biggest step in that direction was taken by Uncharted 2 imo. I hope tlou refines it.

This is quite common these days in game where the player has a companion. Maybe you just like the quality of the writing a lot in this game.Contextual out-of-cutscene chatter is perhaps the single most important change in direction that cinematic linear games need to take and TLoU makes a big commitment in this field and I hope it catches up in a more mainstream fashion.
If I had to guess, I'd say it may be like Dark/Demon's Souls like system where the MP somehow ties to SP (something I made a thread about pertaining to KZSF).

I'm almost 100% sure that SP and MP are not connected in any way.
Maybe the multiplayer component is a rip off of Day Z but in a smaller scale.
