That post you were referring to was meant to be read as "YOU acting like I am angry doesn't mean I am actually angry". I can see how not having the "You" in there can change the meaning. And I've said several times that I have good reason to think the management knew based on how it actually happened. But people here insist to feel that they know more about the situation when they weren't there.
In the end you still assumed, based on evidence you picked up at the scene. But you did not know if the manager actually knew about it.
You did not talk to the manager, either. You failed on communicating that you had a problem. And that's your problem, OP.
Next time, try to talk to the manager. <--- I'm sure this has been said about a hundred times at this point.
