Anthem and Battlefront 2.
THE CREW 2: Griffin's Hands-On Impressions & GAMEPLAY! Polygon @ E3 2017
I was very surprised with The Crew 2. Signed up for the Beta immediately after.
Also, Wolfenstein II looks orgasmic with it's usage of ID Tech 6.
The Anthem was the most impressive I saw from a traditional AAA sense.
Shame I doubt the final product will look anywhere near as good and we'll instead see severe downgrading as development progresses.
Except it's not exclusive, so it's like that for every console.
When your phrasing is meant to paint feminism as anti-equality, the cause of society's downfall in this dystopian cyberpunk future, and add a gamergate hashtag? It's starts to paint a picture of what his views actually are. There's a reason people are frustrated by this game. If it didn't leave such a strong impression, people wouldn't be expressing their disappointment at the creator so much.

The last night does look amazing but unfortunately you will hear gamergate every time its mentioned in a thread
From a technical standpoint, God of War was the clear winner. Which is pretty embarassing considering XboneX is supposed to be more powerful than the Pro, yet GoW trailer was on vanilla PS4. And then you could also argue it was one of the best from an artistic standpoint as well.
The Evil Within 2 also looked damn good too, especially in terms of art direction. Anthem looked great from a technical perspective and fairly good artistic direction.
Star Wars Battlefront 2
I think Dice has clearly cemented themselves as the 3rd party graphics king this generation with their Battlefront and Battlefield entries.
That's like complaining about people mentioning Uncharted's story in every Uncharted thread. The Last Night premise is anti-feminism, in part developed by a gamer gate supporter. Considering it's a primarily a narrative driven game, it seems completely fair to bring it up
Maybe so, but the single player will look better than multiplayer as that's the case with all DICE games, so it's definitely going to be up there as one of the best looking games this year.Ingame cutscenes doesnt really count imo. The actual game looks much rougher, while still impressive, looks nowhere near those screenshots
In this order
God of War
Uncharted Lost Legacy
Spider-Man
Days Gone
Horizon DLC
Anthem
Metro
God of War
Spider-Man
Interesting.
I thought Odyssey looked good

Please explain to us lowly plebs from a "technical standpoint" how God of War was the "clear winner"?
My two bits:
The latest trailer of God of War was captured running on a base PS4. It's kind of mind boggling when you look at what SSM have achieved on stock hardware.
Look up the announcement thread.

Sure, it looked good. But clear winner? Nah. Not even close.
Back on topic, Anthem really looked the part. SpiderMan was impressive as well, specially the color palette.. hopefully it won't be 50% qtes though.
Days Gone, Uncharted, looked more of the same. GT Sports looked awful IMO, except for replays. Forza looked very nice but not mind blowing.

The Last Night, while not the "best graphics" in the strictest definition, did grab my attention for doing something so unique. Kind of like how Cuphead looks amazing, but it is simply a fresh take on something we've all seen and played before. But The Last Night gave me the same "wow" factor as Cuphead did when I first saw it.
I feel the same. The Last Night looked gorgeous and like nothing I had seen before.
On God of War, I must be the only one that was expecting it to look better. I really liked the initial reveal from last year. Thought it looked great and was pretty hyped. The latest trailer just didn't look that great to me. Dunno...
Also, Anthem looked great (but I'm expected it to be downgraded).
I'm confused on why/how you thought it looked great last year but not this year? :/
