Wii U Story
Yesterday I checked to see if I could get the system early at Target and Best Buy, but it ended up them saying "not till tomorrow". So, I went 30 minutes early before Target opened at 8:00 AM and waited until the store opened. At 10 minutes left before the store opened, I sat down on a thingy on the side and waited near the door. There were at least 9-10 people waiting and I didn't know what for, but I just assumed it was for the Wii U. This is my first console launch ever, and I've heard stories of how they can be, even if I live in a huge city that usually has games I want all the time.
Anyways, when they opened the door, a guy went in quickly and began walking at a faster pace. I knew this Target pretty well so I played off walking in a nonchalant way, then when the person turned right, I immediately sprinted my way through the clothing section like a cheetah on the prowl. I ran faster than I've did in a while, and I made it there before the other person did. While I was on the final lap, the person at the register saw me running like a crazed person and said "So I take it you want a Wii U?" and I said "Yes" before I laughed while kinda embarrassed. He goes to get the box and shortly after tons of people and all those people outside are lined up there, I was the first one to nab a Wii U there, and luckily I did it before having to wait in the huge line.
So, victory for me!
