If we get the slide of logos, Wii U is doomed.
They need to get people on stage.

Just found this nugget of news from a while back hat I'd forgot about.
http://www.videogamer.com/news/cryengine_to_support_wii_u.html
I wonder if they're planning anything? Imagine if Crytek made an exclusive title for the WiiU's launch. That'd rock a few boats.
To achieve better precision than the Wii remote allows you'll lose some of the controller functionality. Im saying that based on what i'm guessing are the possibilities you are thinking about:I think the tablet would offer better precision than the Wiimote for FPSs.
Well, it's to be expected that they'd support the console with CryEngine, as they don't want to miss out on business from companies who want to licence the engine for a game for the console.
That doesn't necessarily mean that they're planning on releasing anything for the system themselves, though, but given Crysis 2 was multi-platform it's not a stretch to imagine that they'll take the same approach with the next game and include the Wii U.
To achieve better precision than the Wii remote allows you'll lose some of the controller functionality. Im saying that based on what i'm guessing are the possibilities you are thinking about:
1)Using the screen surface as a slide pad. Then you have your hand busy with an stylus.
2)Have the game being displayed on the tablet screen and shoot directly where you tap. You have to be seen the touch screen at all times
3) Or the fucking retarded option. Use the controller built in motion sensors to move the screen around like a view finder to shoot.
How many people think Nintendo introduced WiiRelax to initially throw
the competition off? I recall seeing, after the Nintendo announcement a
Sony patent for using emotions to control games:
http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming/sony-patents-ps3-emotion-control-626668
Now, Nintendo is like, well Wii Relax is not 100% ready yet. So unlike Nintendo.
Or, as you say, it was a ploy to lead their competitors down a blind alley/misdirect them to their true intentions.
who expects RE 6 to be announced at e3 this year?
Seeing as Capcom is a big Nintendo supporter lately, I wouldn't be surprised to see RE6 on Wii U.
Heck, seeing how late it's releasing in the year, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a launch title/launch window.
It's expensive? Is it too hard for Nintendo to just copy PSN/XBL?
I don't understand why they don't just do that.
Banned. o_0

At the very least it takes a lot of money - a large investment.
I'd be surprised if Nintendo's online budget the last 6 years is even a 50th of MS or Sony's.
seems port begging was the culprit
I don't get it, that wasn't port begging. He was saying he expects it to show up. Maybe I don't know the rule fully. Anywayyyy, Nintendo + Steam for online is obviously too good to be true lol.seems port begging was the culprit
He certainly wasn't port begging in that post though. weird. he was just giving his opinion to some guy who posted above.

(Wii U version, please? I'd like to see what they can do with the Wii U controller for a Resident Evil.)
who expects RE 6 to be announced at e3 this year?
It really sucks that Nintendo let rare go.
They should have bough the company. Rare's games will sell better on a nintendo console.
Meh, the rareware to microsoft is more tragic than square going exclusive to sony.
I would hardly to expect them to announce it alongside, but if Nintendo don't get Resident Evil 6 on launch day along w/ the other 2 skus, they can pretty much throw in the towel on 3rd party support. If they couldn't convince Capcom, the likes of Take Two are out of the question. We should get a pretty good indication of where things are headed come e3.
For me RE6 will be a sort of litmus test of early 3rd party support (at least as far as Japanese 3rd parties go). As I see it, there are three possibilities:
1. No Wii U version, or very late Wii U port - This would be bad news as far as Nintendo's ability to attract multi-platform releases in concerned.
2. Wii U version released the same day, which looks pretty much the same as PS360 versions and has inventory tacked onto the Wii U pad screen - This is what I'd expect, multi-platform titles will come to the Wii U, but they will be lazy ports (although after playing the RE:R demo, to be honest the inventory would actually be a pretty good use of the screen).
3. Wii U version released the same day, which looks noticeably better than PS360 versions and makes innovative, exciting use of the Wii U pad - I don't expect this to happen, but it would obviously be very good news if it did, as it would indicate that Nintendo are encouraging third parties to put substantial resources into utilising both the hardware and the controller.
We're going to get an idea pretty quickly of whether or not it's no.1, as someone in the media will obviously ask Capcom if it's coming to the Wii U, and if they say anything but a definitive "No", then it almost certainly is. We won't be able to tell between the other two until E3 of course, when we'll probably have a pretty good idea of third party support anyway.
Resident Evil is one of the few games where having the inventory on the screen actually makes sense, because, if it's anything like 5, the action won't pause as you are sorting through it.
I'm expecting almost every massive third party game to have Wii U versions announced at E3.
The graphics are way too close to current gen consoles for third parties to ignore the Wii U. I expect it to taper off when the Next 360 and Playstation come out, but for the next two years we'll have most of the third party games.
Good points...
The only thing that makes me nervous about RE 6 is that it seems like Capcom has already prepared a lot early press materials for the game, and there's no Wii U logo in sight.
RE 6 is the type of games the Wii U NEEDS to be getting if it's going to stand a chance.
Of course, this could mean nothing. There was no Wii U logo in that recent Darksiders II media video, and a Wii U version has already been confirmed for that. But then I can't help but wonder if it really is in Nintendo's best interests to require 3rd parties to remain so mum on multiplatform games also coming to Wii U. As of now these games are largely only being thought of as PS360 titles. I'm afraid that when Nintendo finally does pull the curtain back Wii U versions of these games will appear tacked-on, even if they were always in the works.
Ho hum...
I think it had to do with the other thread where he says this:
I guess that falls under port begging? EDIT: Beaten ^
Anyway, on topic, E3 should be magnificent. Hopefully, as other have said, they bring out developers and partners on stage, instead of just logos or video montages of devs saying how great it could be to develop for. I want to see action and not just talk.
Of course RE6 will be on the Wii U...
You guys are crazy to think otherwise.
seems port begging was the culprit
It was announced without including it.
Resident Evil 5 was not on the Wii.
There's more evidence against it than for it at this time. I think you're crazy for assuming so yeah.

Dunno of Crytek are going to do anything themselves, but let's hope they have something REALLY sexy to show off their engine. It's a prime opportunity for Crytek and Epic to get their engines on the new platform to wow developers. Epic I can see waiting because, well, they are Epic and are up their own arses and seem to have disdain for Nintendo. Crytek though could lead the pack.

Oh, man, if TimeSplitters 4 isn't on Wii U or PC I might have to buy a 2nd console next gen. I never owned any of them, but I played them splitscreen at parties. The games are so crazy there has to be a lot of great uses for the touchscreen, especially for map making (they had map making, right?).
