BTW, that is a glass screen protector. Unless requested, it will be removed so that everything can be superbly cleaned. Sadly, iPad camera is best I got without phone, but it's pretty much perfect besides a tiny wear near the connector on the bottom. Again, you're covered until September from Apple.

I'm tired of us constantly going round and round in circles around here. The rules are what they are. If you don't agree with them, then propose an Edit for the community to vote on. Otherwise, quit clogging up the thread with your crap.

2. Bans for public shaming
3. Pic requirements (max allowed, quoted, etc)
4. Decreasing post frequency (from 150 to 200/300)
5. Bans for failing to adhere to post frequency rules multiple times

I'm down for this, but obviously any banning would be up to the Mods. None of the thread staff are mods. This should also only be used as a last resort. As such, this rule would have to be much more explicit in what it would cover.

We've had talks about this behind the scenes, but the drama around it has died down as of late, so I just let it go.

Our initial proposal was going to be a maximum of 5 pictures and they must all be quoted. I am not a fan of having size requirements, as we run the risk of making this thread overly complex as is.

4. Decreasing post frequency (from 150 to 200/300)
I vote against this. If not for the constant drama, the thread should actually be moving a lot slower now with the feedback being left in a separate thread.

I've PM'd nrvalleytime a while back with some suggestions for new rules, including image limits and post frequency, and he said he'd look into it. So PM'ing them to offer suggestions for new rules is definitely an option for everyone, and it's the best way to improve the thread. Moaning and sarcasm just brings negativity and ruins the thread.

Oh, I'd totally be down for this. It's getting really tiring and just clogging up the thread. We don't need some filler posts to replace the feedback posts. This is a BST thread. This isn't some elitist thread. Want to buy? Buy. Don't want to buy? Don't buy. Want to haggle? Haggle. Simple as that. No need to moan about prices you don't like in the thread.

Is anyone interested in buying my Oculus Rift Preorder? From the email I just got, I seem to be in the first batch. Order number is in the 26 range.

Essentially, I didn't know that I even had an Oculus Rift Preorder until I got this email a few hours ago. I did put my information in about a minute after the preorders went live, but I got an error message, and I ultimately decided that $600 was too much for me anyway.

I'm not really sure how to price this—I do intend to make a profit, or I might as well just cancel the preorder. I'm going to ask for $850 initially, and if I don't get any bites in the next couple of days I'll lower it a bit.

Obvious caveat: Yes, I'm selling something I don't technically have in my possession at this exact moment. That said, if I can close a deal before the Rift ships, I can send it directly to your address, so that you get it ASAP!

Greenman Gaming just had this for like $46 and currently using the coupon it is $48. Just a heads up if you can't get any bites at $45. Game isn't out until May though so there will be plenty of sales to take advantage of leading up to it.

If there's no problem with sellers like NeOak charging over msrp, I don't see why there are problems with my attempts to haggle. You might think $1 shipped is unfair but to some sellers, it isn't. Let us sell for whatever we think items are worth.

How am I supposed to know what people are willing to sell things for? If there was something like an established price, I'd agree. But I don't see anything wrong with throwing an offer out there. There's also no rule about PMing offers. Sometimes the PM system doesn't work.

I think you're making it personal. I don't see what rules I'm breaking. If there's a rule about listed prices or PMing offers, ok. But as is, you're making it awfully personal. No one is allowed to call out, say, NeOak for selling at super high prices. So why call me out for buying at super low prices?

You can PM anyone with serious thoughts on BST. I've done it before openly requesting a transparency rule on codes, because I believe this should exist since there's nothing stopping you from buying from G2A and making a quick profit and us buying a code that doesn't support a developer at all. There's no logical reason you can't, unless the reason you can't means you shouldn't be selling it here in the first place.

Theres a difference between disagreeing with someones price and being an ass.
We have some rules that we follow in spirit, not to the letter. An example of this is whining, it's highly subjective. I'm sorry no one made a rule for required prices, but when you post $1 at everything, you might as well go into the Free to a Good Home™ thread and beg for stuff against the rules.

Basically, you're shit posting and arguably trolling, neither of which is allowed on GAF last I checked. No one takes a $1 offer seriously and you waste thread space every time by going off at people without reason, and that helps detract from actual discussion in BST when it's needed, like callouts when we need them on scummy or questionable things.
Re: Over MSRP, we allow people to say "by the way, that's $20 at gamestop right now, might want to lower your price from $45" for this exact reason, so no one gets burned. That's not the same at all.
And on that note, I vote 150->250, if only because 150 was implemented when BST was much smaller, and we also did not have the rate of price errors and scamming or really general discussion in here, increasing the amount of repeat posts every 5 minutes.
Also against listing the same product for months straight with no price drop and a huge image, these won't sell generally.
And giant non quoted stock images for non digital games.
