I think everyone expects the Toto-Alibaba thing to go nowhere (probably something lame like seeing her take a bath, because Alibaba is a shonen hero chump), but it's just nice seeing Mor get stomped on like that. Because suffering is moe.

Hard to be the Younger Brother!! 1
tumblr_mtx31gIWxk1qbxqfpo1_500.jpg

Clueless older brother that believes everything younger brother says but still pretty funny overall with how they react as well as the other family members. Brotherly skinship is needed more in manga. Through their trials and tribulations with mixed emotions after that one night experience with older brother at some meet up with the girls or something , a good scene was had with younger brother taking the first step. The nervousness surrounding the moment was memorable but it seems all for naught. Maybe next time :(

Magi

Oh look the beam spam arc is over now it's waifu wars *sigh* the quality has really gone down the drain.

I don't really care for the plot points left in the story after this arc

-one other magi to yet to be shown(we already got enough of these)
-Aladdin trying to find a away to turn black rukh back into white obvisously going to be used to turn princes Zuko back to the good side of the force.(that's lame)
-al Sherman have been reduced to power rangers type villains trying to summon there master& other monsters like reta& lord z

Nothing of interest to look forward too.

Being magi fan is like being a square Enix fan right now (suffering), I hope duckroll is right for once and this manga ends soon.

Since it's getting an anime soon, I thought why not try reading the series first.

It's not bad. It's about someone without spiritual powers born into a branch family of one such spiritual family. Through various events, he basically starts attending the school for spiritual people.

It has some weakness here and there, with sometimes the dialogue drowning itself in jargon and being all the place with some of the action, but it is pretty entertaining nonetheless. I don't think I hate anybody yet and the story has some hook that makes me kinda interested even though at times they seem to forget about it. I like the comedy so I'm looking forward to watching the upcoming anime now.

Fuuka just can't hack it in the harsh world of the ever changing food market. She still got dem thighs tho.

monster waifu's 19

Another chapter, another addition to the harem I guess. :/

Unless it turns out she's really just gay for Mia in which case I'm down with dis.

Scissors Heart [one shot]

This was a different take on the hairstylist bl manga type thing, mainly with the flinching and sensual moments while cutting the hair but then the longer one shot type thing to make it into a real relationship instead of just a one night event. Loved it alot and it became kind of memorable.

Laughing Banana

Weeping Pickle

The opposite

Oh? Spoiler me, I don't really care. The author is not pairing them off? What do you mean that spoilered part of your post?

Because from what I read I thought it's just one of those occasions where it's seem clear cut and terribly obvious o_O

Eyeshield 21 142-150

BULL SHIT!

I was legit shocked when they lost the game... only to find out they can take place in a game for 3rd place and somehow save their season <_< Really? Really!

It's ok, you can just say you'll never read it.

As long as there isn't anything left as soul crushingly boring as Skypiea that makes me want to stop reading, I should be caught up before the end of the year, hopefully before Thanksgiving.

Magi is under 200 chapters, it shouldn't be too bad

Hey he finally got around to reading One Piece and I'm finally getting around to finishing Eyeshield 21 so anything is possible.

Try not to burn out with ES21. At some point the matches get way too similar in formula. Though I guess it can't be helped seeing that it's handegg and there's only so much you can do with it.

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
Dunno if it's possible to get really burned out on ES21. It's less formulaic than JoJo up until the Christmas Bowl and the plot is always moving.

Eyeshield 21 155-165

A kicking team was pretty lulzy, but overall I enjoyed this match a lot. If I have any disappointments it's that the "real" eyeshield 21 was kind of a let down. The series hyped him up to be the big deal yet he was more or less just the next stage boss before the real final battle with Shin.

But the whole Christmas Bowl is super formulaic and really exhausting. The human body can only take so much tension!

That's not to say I didn't enjoy it, but it definitely has more flaws than just superior black muscles.

I can see how ES21 is getting kind of formulaic with it's games at this point

-Opponent has some gimmick like being really tall or kicking specialist that makes them dangerous

-Opposing RB/LB is incredibly fast and a challenge for Sena to deal with

-Himura will do something crazy to fool his opponents until he reveals some amazing plan he's had all along

-Wah wah if only we have a kicker / yay yay we have a kicker (depending on where you are)

-Someone besides Sena will be given a rival, that other person will get a power up to overcome said rival

-Flash back about someone on the other team

-Sena loses to his rival multiple times, but he "gets better as the game goes on" and on the final play is able to beat him

-They're down at half time, get some momentum and make it close, the opponent scores to put the game "out of reach", miracle happens to let them win

It's still enjoyable though

Let me boil that down: Characters meet obstacles, overcome them, become better characters.

Pretty much. It's like reading an Adachi manga. Shit is the same in every story but it's just so enjoyable.

I think eyeshield 21 is very well executed. It's art is gorgeous and the characters are all unique and a lot of fun. The crazy ways they find to one up the next opponents team is also entertaining.

ES21 could've been padded out with boring schoolroom segments where the teacher's yammering on about something and Sena's looking out of the window wistfully and the teacher calls on him and he's like "OH WAIT WHAT I WASN'T PAYING ATTENTION". Add in some ship teasing between Himura and Mamori, hjinx with the Ha-brothers, a group trip to some an onsen resort or a beach where the boys try to peak on the two girls. Flashback to some childhood promise Sena made with Mamori. Spinoff with Suzuna and her brother, whats-his-face, in AMURIKA. And this is just talking about the Devilbats, You could do the same for the Knights, the Gods, the Gunmen, etc all at the same time.

And we would be here complaining about how nothing is ever happening and when will they wrap up this war arc and why does Sena's chakra never run out and when will Himura come back to troll everyone with his all-knowing smirk.

SINCE WHEN WERE YOU UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT YOU WERE WINNING? YA-HA!

Ranobe no Hen! 01-11

Your average high school kid covers for this brother as an editor for a light novel and meets with its writer and illustrator. He then finds out that both of them are in his class, dun dun dun.

Oddly enough, this wasn't that bad. It's pretty generic at the start with harem antics and falling face first into girls and stuff, but it is decently interesting looking at the whole art of writing light novels. It's also pretty short and while the ending is a bit rushed, I liked it. It basically skipped some steps and made it more enjoyable in the end.

There are probably more Generation of Miracle rejects still out there. The club had like two hundred members.

I re-read the chapter and I sort came to this conclusion.

The 5th member of Rakuzan is going to have similar powers like Kuroko. The color page hints at it

Just wait until you get to the upcoming game. By far the best match in the entire series with some killer art.

I still have mixed feelings about the latter half of E21, but the first 200 chapters or so remain some of the greatest manga I've ever read.

Jojo has crazy powers to make up for it mostly.

ES21 is like... Sena has a FASTER STEP!? I guess the subject matter doesn't really help.

I still enjoyed it quite a lot though. Fun characters with fun interactions. Plus the art helps make Gridiron actually interesting.

One Devil Bat Hurricane from Murata contains more action than any JoJo series.

Some short chapters from Arakawa about a girl creating a frankenstein monster and entering him into the frakenstein monster tournament.

Has your normal Arakawa humor, so pretty enjoyable. Works as a bunch of short chapters instead of a long series since it doesn't go anywhere.

This is all true. But it is also true that the relentless assault of down-to-the-wire games leading up to the Christmas Bowl is exhausting.

It's a struggle, not just for Sena, but for the readers as well. If the Devil Bats gave in to simple exhaustion, do you think they would've made it to the Christmas Bowl?

Only through adversity can we exceed our limits.

But that doesn't explain the world championship arc. Emotionally drained after the Christmas Bowl, you're thrown into a mess of dull subplots and racial ignorance. ES21's biggest flaw is that it goes on for one arc too long.
