Can someone explain the superhuman strength part? How can it be that an average built male can basically become the hulk and require freaking 15 (!) cops to contain. What does the drug do to give this effect and why is the "unlocking" mechanism there. I know you get a lot stronger when you're really angry but not to this extent. Is there some type of substance that only kicks in when your life is in danger or? Are humans "capped" in terms of strength, and if so how much?

I've seen "worse" but the pain factor comes into play and makes it one of the worst things I've seen. Bullets leave a worse aftermath, but are painless in most of those cases.

i just was going to post that when you did. And what's worse, by all accounts the Greyhound bus company should be commended... not only did the bus driver attempt to save the passenger, but once he couldn't, he pressed the bus immobilizer and barred Li from escaping with a crowbar. They should be praised!

So fucking ridiculous.

Basically your body operates within safe means, even during strenuous activity. This "superhuman" strength happens when adrenaline is high and you lose the subconscious "safety." Feats of strength in that state are often followed by injury from the muscles being pushed so far past the limit the strain/pull/break.

I think it is safe to say most of the country is having a hard time understanding why Vince Li, the man who beheaded and ate parts of a 22-year-old male passenger aboard a Greyhound Bus in 2009, would ever see the light of day, let alone a supervised pass.

Officials at the Manitoba Schizophrenia Society where Li was treated said last week he was being portrayed unfairly by the public and media; he is safe to begin integration and no longer a threat to society as long as he takes his medication.

A young man was brutally murdered and the story played out for us all to witness. Perhaps the killer doesn’t remember that horrific night but does that mean the family must pretend it never happened? Do they just write it off as a freak accident, like being struck by lightning or a falling rock?

I can't even imagine being the parents of McLean. Fuck. It's one thing to have to bury your own kid, but something this goddamn horrible happening? They won't forget the details they heard and had to see in court. Ever.

It's like this unfortunate survivor of this recent attack. If he survives, will he ever get beyond the mental, emotional, and physical damage from it? I would doubt it.

The picture's actually not that nauseating. He kind of looks like Krang. But I feel really, really sorry for the guy. Reading the comments, it sounds like he was homeless so he doesn't have health insurance. They'll probably just patch him up and give him a paper bag with eye holes in it.

I hate my curiosity . . . decided to look at both the Miami zombie photos (including the one of the victim in the hospital) and the photos of Tim McLean, and I was planning on going to sleep soon. Then I watched that youtube video someone posted in this thread about the effects of bath salts, and now that just creeped me out even more.

I've read an article that basically theorized that we subconsciously limit our strength to prevent damage to ourselves. Our muscles do not all contract at once. I imagine this drug eliminates that safety and unlocks a great deal more strength.
