Titanfall Gameplay Footage (Embargo Lifted)

You also wouldn't reload until you had a dry mag.

Reloading with ammo left should ALWAYS be a mag dump OR The animation should be longer and you have to put the half empty mag away making you vulnerable.
I'd be ok with this. Empty the whole magazine for a very quick emergency reload, and make a tactical reload take longer.

I know this game isn't striving for realism, obviously, but that would be an interesting mechanic.

So burn cards last for one spawn and you find them randomly, ok I kind of like that idea and at least it's not a perma skill.

Also AMAZING how EA are not forcing burn cards as DLC, very shocking to me...

"You found a Rare Foil Card! Sell now for $1.99."

Damn, this thing looks really fun and intense. Downloaded and watched one of Digital Foundry's vids. Looks great, nice and chaotic. :)

So does anyone think this will increase Xbox One sales now that these videos are finally out? Any word one how preorders for the game are looking?

From what I've seen during the Alpha good players where farming the AI right when they spawn (sometimes with grenades from across the map too)

So if you're unlucky you might not even see them running around for you to shoot :/

This I hope they address. Either be changing where the spawn, up the difficulty, or increase their numbers to stop players from exploiting them.

I cant possibly watch anymore of this.
I have seen all there is to see of the pre launch build at this point, every weapon/loadout/titan weapon/loadout, i need to just wait and play this.

Huh, so some of the Burn Cards are for replacing your Primary weapon with another weapon. Some are listed as Amped and they have different stats etc. Something called the Amped Kraber is a Sniper Rifle with explosive rounds.

Going to watch some of these on my lunch break. Which ones aren't full of commentary? I want to hear the sounds of the game without any other talking.

Also being able to call down a Ogre or Stryder Titan which is the only way to do it in the beta.

And that doesn't affect the balance?

C'mon...

I'm really not liking the AI enemies. They're dumb as shit bullet fodder and distracting. I've seen footage where the player is taking out an enemy AI character and gets killed by a human controlled Pilot due to being distracted by these useless enemies. Their inclusion is a major turnoff for me, it's as if they put them in to make the battlefield look more "busy" or "epic".

Remember it will only last one life when used, hence the burn part.

It could help to balance out a team by getting some crucial kills in, or getting your Titan faster to stop you getting stomped by enemy Titans. Kinda like LoL and getting your Hero out first to stem the tide. :D

Will watch all of this

How do burn cards really work? Do you have a permanent collection that can be brought in a match for one time use? Or is it you just get them, use them, and get new ones? Is it only once per match? Even if you bring three?

I'm at work so I haven't watched the videos yet but has it be explained exactly how the burn cards are acquired?

Does anyone know if there will be a 'spotting' feature, like Battlefield? I always find myself spamming the spot button in FPSs even when I'm not playing Battlefield. Also, what makes an enemy show up on your radar? Is it the same as CoD, as soon as you fire your (unsilenced) weapon?

You collect them in game and you maker a deck of usable cards. You unlock the ability to take a Burn Card with you, which you can activate on your death. As you level up, you can take up to 3 cards with you.

Use a card and it gets burned, even if you use it and get shot in the face instantly.

One card activation per death and you choose when to use it. Burn all 3 in a row, nothing left for the remainder of the match.

Seems like a smart way to ensure balance since they are drops they can be easly removed or tweaked if needed.

There's not. Titans are always on radar, pilots show up when they shoot. Maps aren't big enough to need a spotting mechanic and you can't really camp.

So, the there is permanence in the deck. Every card earned is unique and doesn't have to be earned again. The only limit is in the match. Sounds good.

They seem like a really fun concept for mixing things up.
