He really does not want people buying the Xbox One or wants to discourage them from doing so. I forget the thread, but someone posted a pm from cboat saying something like "if what all I've leaked doesn't stop people from buying an Xbox One, I just don't know what else to do".

There is not a cotton-picking person on this forum that changed their purchasing choice based on CBOAT rumours, especially as most negative things he said are things that would iron out over time regardless.
You could argue he maybe made a couple a couple people on the fence pause for a few days, but as soon as the right games were shown that flew out the window.
Good point. Cboat's given years of quality information. If Cboat must die, it shouldn't be a perma.Give him a little vacation to make him check his sources more.

Let's be realistic and speculate...
- 30fps when inside a Titan.
- Titan models being smaller and low poly/res compared to XB1
- Large maps being shrunk compared to XB1 counterparts.
- Lots of slowdown encountered as pilots whenever you get near Titans squaring off.

Well just saying that all logic speaks against him on this one, which is why I'm inclined to believe Abbie about the resolution over him.
Considering how much the game depends on its map design to allow free-flowing parkour movement, I don't think they'll chop the level sizes. It would be like porting a Tony Hawk game and decreasing the size of the levels, it just wouldn't work. It would deeply affect the balance of the game in a negative way.

That might be what he believes to have heard. As I said, I think it's a mistake. Things like these being caused by a simple mistake is always a more probable explanation than an explanation that goes against so much of the evidence or assumes malicious intent or a conspiracy.

Game isn't gonna run at a smooth 60fps either then unless the "beta" code was mad old. As soon as the Titan part of Titanfall hits so does the frame rate.

I stand by what I said. I see no evidence that CBOAT had any impact except give talking points for fanboys. Any reduced sales of the Xbox one can be laid at the feet of Microsofts PR, pricing and mismanaged console reveal and launch.
If you wanted a Xbox one you got one, whether you believed cboat or not.

Well, he's doubled down on this Titanfall stuff, which I find pretty weird. I also wasn't a fan of the "ass storm"- vague w/o substance.
Some of the stuff he gave us was amazing though, I don't want him banned (nor is it my call obvi).

If that is the case then why the determination ? I don't get it. The timing of the accounts TitanFall alpha textures thread right after the Forza Horizon, Crackdown leak was dodgy to say the least and smelled a bit of an agenda but why?
I actually appreciate any genuine info from any trusted source but this situation surely goes beyond console war politics ? If not it's pretty sad.
