Is Hush the main villain in Rocksteady’s next Batman game?

The pieces are all coming together. Just a few days ago, rumors started swirling that Rocksteady was planning to announce their next Batman game after a GameStop employee alledgely received marketing materials for an unknown Batman game. That is just a small piece of evidence, with nothing being confirmed and most of it being speculation. Yet, the Batman: Hush facebook page may have just given us one of the biggest clues we need to confirm what’s happening.

Batman: Hush is one of the greatest Batman story arcs of all time, focusuing around Bruce Wayne’s good friend Thomas Elliot, a renowned brain surgeon who ends up grafting a perfectly identical face to Bruce Waynes onto his own so that he can ruin the Wayne name. We saw a small side-story of Elliot in Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham City, where he stole Bruce’s face and then fled into the night, ending with our hero telling Oracle he would “deal with him later."

Batman: Hush, a small Facebook page run by WB with under 5k likes, may have just accidentally spilled the beans on Rocksteady’s next Batman game. If this wasn’t evidence enough, back in April of 2011 before Arkham City was even released, WB snatched up the websites for a few Batman: Hush related games, including BatmanHush.com, BatmanHushGame.com, BatmanImposters.com, and BatmanImpostors.com.

Hush would be awesome

I basically skipped Origins so looking forward to trying the next Rocksteady effort.

Poor Rocksteady is doomed to make Batman games until the end of time.

Or until their studio is bled dry and closed I guess.

I thought it was a JL Silver-Age style game next?

While I dug the first two games, yet another Arkham doesn't hold the same thrill it once did.

Naw man naw, main villain is obviously gonna be (Arkham City ending/easter egg spoiler)
Harley and Joker's babby, all amped on venom or an ace chemical bath or whatever new mutato-juice they come up with for this one

He was one of the dangling plot threads alongside Azrael, right?

It would make sense. I'm not a huge fan of the comic book arc but at least, it had a crapload of characters.

They already gave away his real name in AC though and Bruce didn't even blink IIRC, so that would leave a major plot point out. Short of some retcon obviously.

hush had some good moments but overall it seemed like the first two Rocksteady Arkham games: an excuse to have all villains tied into one story.

So it's a perfect fit

They'll make it seem like the main villain is Hush.

Then, plot twist, it's the Joker. Again.

They've done face shit with Joker in the past, in the comics.

Far from an impossibility, but I'm inclined to think that Dini (who's probably writing this) can do better.

That said, this rumored news makes it seem like Arkham 4 is going to be less of a conclusion to the Arkham franchise, and simply the next entry. I'm hoping they adapt the Battle for the Cowl storyline and off Bruce, however.

Hush is my favourite run, I know a ton of people want a Golden Age game but I would go for a Hush game day one even after the issues with AOrigins!

Hush and more Scarecrow please, the latters sections in Arkham Asylum were the highlights of the series for me

But Hush is sweet, so no issues with him taking the mantle. Hope they throw in some other villains, and no stick with the Bane's/Mr Freeze etc. Great White Shark pls

But if they are tying up AC stuff, then azrael's thingy is surely going to be a large factor.

Why are you reading my tag instead of the title of my post?
I know they don't want to repeat villians, but they are just getting more and more obscure here. They might as well just start going supernatural soon, that way we can dig into that other side of batman. I wanna see me some Equinox.

Hush is seriously terrible, but it'll give them an excuse to round up a bunch of bad guys for Batman to face off against.

Can't wait for The Joker to be under those bandages.

shut uuuuuuuuuuuuuuup
I remember this story arc being so hyped. I got the trades and the first one was pretty good. Then in the second one it all went down the toilet.

Written by Jeph Loeb, what did you expect

I did like the Hush cameo in AC though, and he has potential to be a decent villian.

Or, if they're going to do a bunch of these games, stop using every big name villain in each game yet only to making most of them short side missions

I had just read The Long Halloween and caught win of the hype around this story arc. Boy was I disappointed. Also everything else I have read by Loeb pretty much sucked.

. . . I actually do want the Joker in it, whatever it turns out to be. Not a central role. Side quest. Bat Taunting.

Gah! Twist! - You play as the Joker, and must stop the Bat (family.) It writes itself!
