At 792p it will be just be more blurry but good thing the PS4 and PC versions exist.

I hear reports about Watch Dogs being nothing more than GTA with hacking. And I'm okay with that. I doubt Watch Dogs will be the best game ever made, and the story strikes me as a generic action thriller, but I'm starving to play something new on my PS4 and Watch Dogs will satisfy that hunger during the summer.

That's my point, of course on PC it will look better, but I "need" this game to look much, much better on PC to make me buy this version, something like the 2012 reveal! I wish I'd get more than "just" a better resolution and a few more effects, I need a better physics, a full blast of particles (I still have in my eyes Infamous SS!), more details on the assets, much better textures, etc etc. to go for the pc version, because, otherwise, I prefer to buy/play on PS4.
I can wait a few days for a comparative, but I would lose any pre-order bonuses and price (I hate the pre-order bonuses!)
Thanks for the reply. I checked Ubi's page discussing different aspects of online interaction and, while the racing thing sounds cool, I'd like to know if I can specifically target people on my friends list for tailing and hacking missions. There are at least a few of them that would be really fun to creep on, simply because they're mostly SP guys that won't really know how to handle the situation. (Yeah, I'm a dick to my friends)

Ah shit forgot about Mario Kart. Between Watch Dogs, Mario Kart 8, Transistor, Wolfenstein and WildStar, my life is done for.
You won't get a better physics engine because that is just not feasible for a cross-gen platform game. Offering huge extras on one side and not for others would just split development and hurt performance even more. Also by the looks of that leaked PS4 footage the physics are still pretty cool, especially exploding cars and having people flung into the air.

Um, no. The first minute alone shows more geometry and density. Also, the lighting and effects are big improvement over what we're getting on Tuesday. Still don't know why every explosion in the release version has to involve baby powder...
I had to cut Transistor, and gonna rent Wolfenstein during the summer.
Nice, I wonder if that means that the 22nd was just misinterpreted as a review date and was just a video/streaming thing all along.
So we were right about the end of the embargo for videos / video reviews planned on the 22nd. This means they will be able to comment and give their opinion about the game.

My hype has actually gone up, when it was first revealed I was not even thinking about getting this, but now I am very likely going to jump in. Waiting on reviews/gaf word of mouth to see how well it preforms on ps4 since my pc doesn't even meet minimum

I'm planning on pre-ordering the game tomorrow on PS4. I was going to get it on PC, but my PC doesn't meet the recommended specs. I have no where near the processor, or RAM for it. So I might as well just get it on PS4.
Anyways, it looks like a fun open world game. I'm not a big fan of open world games, but I just like the phone hacking mechanic. My only 2 concerns are the shooting (it looked a bit... off in some of the gameplays), and that one reviewer saying you need to be online always to keep your online skills (has Ubi commented on this yet?).
Regardless, I'm hyped. Let's go!

Can you really argue about the lighting though? Sure it looked prettier, but are lens flares everywhere a needed thing? What is the obsession with them? That daytime image floating around with the "FAP FAP FAP" text seems like natural light, which to me seems far nicer than lens flares popping up.

And then the other set of threads is GAF rocking core 2 duos and 8800 GTX's.
I'm getting this on PC 'cause 900p and 30 FPS is BEYOND last gen. I haven't played a game at those settings since.. 2006?

It's almost like nothing everyone on gaf is the same
All I got is an i3770K and a single GTX 680. I'm going with PC I guess, mainly because I think it'll be more comfortable there, and graphically even that'll be superior (maybe not by much) to the Console versions. I'll plug in a Dualshock 4 and rock out!
Truthfully, all the graphics discussion doesn't faze me much. I'm ready for a new open world to explore!
Okay. I have a great pc but I'll grab this on PS4 for a few reasons. Uplay is trash, it will likely be poorly optimized, and the download will probably take my shit internet over a day. Remote play is a huge plus too.

That's what I'm eager for, a new open-world finally hitting PC and I am there day one. Our reviewer is enjoying it on PS4, though I wish he had of got a PC copy to review.

I7 4770 & 750 ti SC (nothing funny about that, I'm a budget gamer!) but I'll be melting this on PS4 because that's where my friends are.
