2.7 million watched it just so they could say on the internet that the game looks proper shit and they already played it in 2005 anyway.

That'll explain the tearing then! (joke lol!)

I'm labelling all my jokes from now on. I'm beginning to understand how Stewart Lee feels.

Still very popular even haters.

I think everyone secret love Playstation.

Can you provide an example of a game that you feel nailed the PR within the same time frame? I want to see how it was different because I simply can't agree that this is an 'atrocious embarrassment'.

I wonder if this is just a natural evolution of our tastes because I can't think of why its announcement date should matter. I also can't see what's wrong with the way they're handling this.

They've done nothing different from countless other games in my eyes. Big CG reveal, a GI spread, a few small clips and streams, and some small impressions as we build to E3. It's honestly been way more than I think we've ever seen for a RaD game. Shadow of Mordor seems to be doing the same with a recent clip and likely more at E3. Why is the Order being treated differently? Is it because it's Sony?

And that big initial reveal wasn't even a CG reveal, the game actually looks that good even when playing as we've seen.

we hast to helpeth him, cov'reth me!

thith'r bringing reenf'rcements

we art sitting ducks out hith'r

galahad findeth us a way out of hith'r

I wouldn't mind that lol

Uh, no thank you.

They want Playstation so bad, they'll watch a shitty streaming video just to feel part of it!

It's probably a bit like when I was a kid and used to 'brum-brum!' with my finger around the pictures of the Scalextric tracks in the toy catalogue, just so I could pretend I was playing the real thing.

Yeah, I understand that Twitch is a popular video platform, but it would've been nice to have a high quality version available shortly after the debut. It's only a few days difference, but we'd have probably been able to avoid dumb comparisons and analyses based on some crummy stream captures.

No doubt about that, they should have given the community access to a high quality version right after the stream

I don't think his intentions were really to say dissent or adverse opinions aren't welcome. Its just that peoples' tone gets lost behind the keyboard. Then you pair that with some people's inability or unwillingness to explain their ideas. I'd always be hesistant to 'tell' someone what their personal intentions are, but given the climate of the internet forum culture...one line comments leave a lot of room interpretation. State your feelings and opinions, but put some meat on those bones. What specifically made it boring to you? What do you think it needs more/less of? What are your expectations and where were they derived from? Perhaps someone here can provide you with information that can calm concerns you have about the game, or give context. That's what makes a thread worthwhile...an exchange of ideas as well as information; not just comments alone.

I don't entirely think I can explain why it looks boring. It's just kind of self-evident to me. It's not a staleness of the mechanics issue either, as some people have been portraying it, it's a boringness of mechanics issue. I don't think there's anything wrong with familiar mechanics if they're pulled off well (which is why I'll happily replay COD:MW but Killzone Shadow Fall is the height of tedium). These are familiar mechanics pulled off with no style, no aplomb, no urgency and excitement. Stand behind this box, point your reticule at those enemies, and pull the trigger until they're dead. Then do it again. Then again. Now do it while dragging this person, instead. That's the game that this video makes The Order out to be. And Shadow Fall has recently reminded me that I don't enjoy suffering a tedious game just because it has amazing graphics.

Also here you can see the thermite gun being used so either the enemies also have access to the cool weaponry of the Knights or this is another more medieval knight-like costume for Galahad? I personally hope that it is an enemy because imagine being sat behind some cover thinking you are safe and then seeing tiny specks of metal falling around you and thinking... "SHHIIEET" and having to get the hell out of there before the flare hits.

Kim Jong Un loves the Playstation?

Kidding aside, the games shading / lighting looks phenomenal, but the gameplay is pretty much 'another Gears of War clone'. In a time where not even Gears of War is exciting anymore cause it's been copied and ripped off dozens of times, do we need 'another one of those'?

I hope one of the characters shouts "I think thermite be trouble brewing!" when that happens. That should liven things up a bit for the people who think it's boring.

Kim Jong Un loves the Playstation?

Of course he does. Nintendos are for the peasants.

No, we've learned from the Feb reveal that the rebels got themselves those snazzy state-of-the-art weapons as well.

This game will be quite a looker probably putting anything on Xbone to shame though I have a feeling it won't really be fun to play.

There's a little maximise button in the top righthand corner that opens the images fullsize in a new tab

No, no maximize button to be seen from here. Whole site looks like is broken, article images don't show, can't even watch videos. Tried with different browsers and it is the same. Honestly I don't care, it's not like I visit Polygon frequently anyway.

It's like there is actually air in those places, it's like Wall-E, witchcraft.

That RAD lense-filter working its magic.

For whatever its worth, they're really landed on a great place as far as visual direction is concerned. These screenshots just reek of an atmosphere that's distinctive of its own identity, which is amazing for a game that hasn't even been released yet.

Really doesn't look downgraded. Characters appear to cast shadows in the new one too.

It's because it wasn't downgraded, it's just that some people like to spew bullshit or maybe where misled by the low quality footage.

I preferred the older uniforms from the previous build.

Me too, but when you think about it, having all that shit hanging from you can be annoying while in combat.
