I liked the Nintendo show, but it still seems like Nintendo doing Nintendo things in terms of games. I don't know if this will win many casual gamers over. I think the big problem was that Nintendo clearly could have shown more while they had the spotlight, but they are intentionally holding things back. If Zelda is as far along as Aonuma suggested a year ago, then why didn't they show more of that game? Why hold back on making 3DS game announcements? Why wasn't Devil's Third on display? The problem wasn't that Nintendo didn't have enough to show, it's just that they simply didn't show it.
Also, the Amiibo stuff seems like it has not been fully thought out by Nintendo, but it has potential, so I'm curious. I feel like they should have been able to say what else these toys could be used for, because their utilization in Smash seems rather unnecessary.
I feel like that show was overall on par with MS and Sony's offerings, but we'll see if Nintendo's upcoming E3 announcements make up for an average-to-good Digital Event.
