It seems like a cop out, but I can't really have good cable management in my apartment. Outlet placement, plus leaving room for baseboard heating just doesn't give me many options.
Those are your pics (which look excellent). I don't remember seeing the other guy's pics who said everyone else's looks terrible. (maybe he posted them already and I missed them)
You can still route the cabling around the skirting, put them in a sleeve, and coil excess behind furniture.

I only have my 18-105mm lens, was thinking of buying a new one for wider angels, something like 10-20mm. Love your photos
Its pretty easy to manage cables when you barely have anything

The Retron 5 finally arrived, making me feel complete (for the moment at least).
it is difficult to do depending on where your sockets are though. I'm lucky that I kind of have a 'false wall' of wall units from ikea, leaving some space behind where the cables can go and be super spaghetti without being noticable. But even then, just running cables from devices are difficult to hide - most of my devices have power/HDMI/ethernet running to them at least. And there are a lot of devices
I'm surprised there aren't better options for hiding cables. Iike shaped raceways that can sit against a wall and be fairly discreet. And why are so many cables black?
Yeah, my house has solid walls, so fishing speaker wire for the surrounds is out of the question. I just bought some white, flat-ish speaker wire a couple of weeks ago. It's tacked to the white baseboard and window frames, and it's fairly unobtrusive. You'll see it if you're looking for it, but otherwise it blends pretty well. I'll try to take some pics later.
There's other stuff that's truly flat and paintable, but I don't have any personal experience with it.

Really cozy setup you've got there. Love the TV stand. Only con of it is that you can't really go any bigger on screen size as it would look ridiculous I think.
Where'd you get the lamp/what brand is it. If it's designer stuff I should probably look into knock-off options

Well, here was my gaming setup back from 2010:
Really dark in there, etc. Unfortunately, my basement flooded during a recent storm and, as a result, I had to gut the room, remove half the walls, remove all carpet, etc.
The silver lining is that we discovered the leak and it has been fixed so there will be no more flooding. As well, was able to get recessed lights added, up lighting, etc.
Will post the remodel after it is finished; just a few more weeks...

I have a fairly large master bedroom, and no other way to gain much privacy during the day, so my 'office' is one corner where I sleep.

Going to do a little rearranging tonight and see if I can get a cleaner look. Need another Lack shelf or two to put these cars on.

Wow, halfway through the year and I haven't posted in this thread yet. Well, not too much has changed since last year; I have the same utilitarian setup as always. I did get a new TV (a Sony W900A), and the PS4 and XB1. Oh, and a few posters framed.

Nothing to be gentle about, looks pretty cool to me. What's that little Gamecube thing next to the Wavebirds?
It's this weird little cooshy Gamecube. Serves no purpose, but I thought it was cool.

Clever thing you did there with the n64 games. Must've been a pain in the ass.
Middle shelf is a drawer excellent for game pads charging cables ect. Came from Next Home uk

His set up is the inspiration behind mine, and i tried to copy it as much as i could.
Now i am week-3 weeks we tear up the walls in the house, so i made a few quick renders of the room. Please feel free to comment and give me tips or new ideas, also some critisizem is very welcome to make the end result way better
Do note, that in the render there aren't any picture frames, that in the end will be in the room. Also the cupboard isn't final and i still seek a good storage solution. (Maybe some drawers under the table, I don't know...)
Everything is in real life measurements.

You need to take into account that the window when opened takes another 45 cm.
Plus all my laundry is done through this window, so for now i don't really know that to do with this space.
But like i said, i was thinking on drawers under the table, maybe i can put them in that corner.
