Mother Fans, the one stage seems to be Magicant...what do you think Sakurai would do for a Magicant Stage? I don't have any knowledge of how it'd work besides it matches the pink area shown in the screenshot.

The leak sounds like you could select all the Koopalings via the Bowser Jr listing, which would be an interesting dynamic.
In a Clown Car would be super weird too - being a character that would basically just float? No jumps? Kind of like MODOK in Marvel 3?

Maybe Sakurai couldn't think of a way to make bowser Jr fun/interesting 8+ years ago. Maybe it only recently occurred to him 'Hey, what if he fights in the clown car, like he does in the NSMB games! That would be great!' It's entirely possible.
Really, we're going this fast? And #TeamReal's still a thing? Unless there was an update saying that the atrocious character select screen was just a mock-up (Unrevealed characters blurry, Wario's in particular looking like an SSE clip, no names at the bottom of each character like in previous demos, etc.), I still don't believe it. All I'm hearing is the Tomodachi stuff, but even that seems like a believable coincidence.
Yeah Bowser Jr. needs to make somethin happen. He's gonna be a weird inclusion if this is happening. I can't recall him being in anything exciting lately (was he in Galaxy?), and he was already a character I've been pretty meh on in general. He's not particularly bad or anything, he's just not that great.
I would might even say I'd prefer Toad over him, and I think Toad would be pretty dumb. But hey, at least the Koopa klown kar is awesome. And it could turn out really fun, I have no idea how it would work in Smash.

Yes, which is why it should be used against the leak. Sakurai would never let something like that make it into the final game, all of you should very well know that.

Never played the mother series.
But I hope its a big level like new pork city. That's my favorite large scale stage by far. Hyrule temple can't even compare.

I remember back before there was any official explanation for Bowser Jr.'s relationship to the Koopalings, the theory was that Bowser Jr. = Ludwig as a baby, and that Sunshine and the rest of his games took place years before games with the Koopalings like SMB3 and Superstar Saga.
Man, those were the days. I always like it when game designers remain ambiguous or tight-lipped about their characters. Mario universe fan theories were an important part of my childhood.

How many people on Team Fake are saying fake more because they really don't want this to be true? I know I don't want the leak to be true but I'm not confident enough to say it's fake (nor to say it's real).

Absolutely - like I said, I wouldn't put it past Sakurai, and I'm not going to deny the leak because of Bowser Jr. I actually really like the idea of having him riding around in the Clown Copter and having Koopaling alts. Imagine him zipping around, tossing Mecha-Koopas like Bowser in SMW. It sounds like a totally unique and fun moveset, and I'll be very happy if he ends up on the roster. My gut just tells me he's not in.
I don't take the DLC leak seriously. Just look at Mario Kart 8, there's no DLC characters (yet) because they probably weren't made during the development, and this is exactly what Sakurai said: no DLC characters are planned at the moment, so why would Ice Climbers (a popular character) be a DLC when they could just add it before shipping ? And Snake won't, sadly, return, let alone as DLC.

Well I mean out of the larger levels since there's so few. I liked how it was just kinda thrown together and then chimera just shows up holding spots on the map.
My favorite level is Shadow Moses for obvious reasons.
With the fire emblem stage being second.

This roster would be pretty much perfect, in my opinion. I would love for that to be what this ends up being (although that'd be a 59 character roster).

Smash needs it's own MODOK. He was hard to master but I enjoyed me some MODOK in Marvel 3.

Believe it or not, I have a buddy who loves that stage. I never understood it.
I say it's fake because it's all menus.

So... basically almost every super mario game since sunshine... except NSMB2/3Dworld/3Dland
I love the idea of a clown car playable character. I could care less who is in it. Ever since Super Mario World, I've always thought it was really cool for some reason. If it plays well, he might be my second main (second to one of the links!)

So we (GameXplain) have been getting nonstop requests from fans for the past day to do a discussion on the possible leaks, and it's up now. I know there are a few GameXplain fans here, so here's the link for ya'll!

He's not really a miniboss in either Galaxy. Every other "world" boss is him or him piloting one of his contraptions.
Flying men attacking? The sleeping dragon? The weird enemies appearing? I dunno
I never liked Bowser Jr. himself, but he's definitely deserving. He was in the Galaxy games. He was in the last four NSMB titles. That's a pretty impressive résumé.
And when he fights in this:
You have a lot of interesting potential. He could drill into opponents with the propeller bounce. He could lob Bob-ombs and Mecha-Koopas, fire Bullet Bills and Torpedo Teds, and drop Big Steelies. He could punch with the extend-o-arms, and use items, as well. The facial expression on the Clown Car can change when hit, etc.
His Final Smash could be dropping Big Steelies like the end of Super Mario World, or calling in Mecha-Bowser from Super Mario Sunshine, or Mega Hammer from Super Mario Galaxy 2. Heck, if they wanted to get really obscure, they could even use one of the mechs from Yoshi Safari on the SNES:
Then consider the fact that the original Smashboards rumor from a month ago said all of the Koopalings would be selectable as alts. The hit-boxes stay the same since the main fighter is the Clown Car. It'd just require slight new animations from the waist up to reflect the new pilot in control.
It's just a fun concept. I hope this all turns out to be real.
Good point, I forgot that he was the primary boss of alternating worlds. I just remember him as a miniboss. I'll edit.

That's right. I remember him in the Galaxies now. I guess he's just not that memorable to me.
Also guys, Dark Pit has just appeared in some fashion in Famitsu. Not translated yet, but this could be a big thing.

Bowser Jr.'s also made appearances in both the latest RPGs, in Sticker Star and Dream Team...although the roles were a bit minor, the latter was a secret boss, he's not forgotten it seems.

I feel this perceived wane in popularity is mainly due to Rosalina getting in Smash and him missing from MK8. Prior to that he had major roles in NSMBU, NSLU, and the Galaxies. His boss battles in Galaxy 2 were in particular really good. If Rosalina hadn't been anounced yet im sure there would be large amounts of people for Toad, Rosalina or Bowser Jr.'s inclusion into Smash. I think most people only assumed there would only be one mario newcomer this go around and that more than that would be a bit excessive.
I still haven't made any verdict.
If we get firm corroborating evidence I'm on board, but I still carry quite a bit of doubt.

I love New Pork City, but it's 100% based on loving seeing Mother 3 on the big screen.
