Assassin's Creed Unity possible leak *potential spoilers*

I could see this being true as paid DLC. Ubisoft likes money and a lot of people would like to play small scale missions with other characters, kinda like mgs vr missions.

Great, we're back to chasing scraps of paper from AC1. That shit never made an appearance again for a good fucking reason.

Fuck this game.

Meh, I just pass it up as the usual side content noise that is in every AC game (whatever economy system mini game, something something rebuild your house, herp herp chess puzzle, fleet management blar di blar, etc).

Won't ruin my enjoyment of the actual game at all i'm sure.

This game looks awful. Another Ubisoft template game with boring bloated content and icon hunting.

October, so I imagine the game is going gold fairly soon.

Not that this is in any way a final build.

Information here, you can still apply but there are already loads of people still waiting to actually get selected.

Unlike some of the people who have signed I actually respect the NDA and try not to ruin it for everyone else.

Unfortunately if stupid people keep doing stuff like this reddit poster these private/public game tests are likely going to be a thing of the past

Yeah, but it feels like something they wouldn't have brought into Unity. What with causing civilians to riot by other means.

It makes more sense for coin tossing to be in unity, considering people are poor and starving.

Also... I don't understand what this leak is.

Are these playable missions?

Because the Wolf and Washington sounds a lot like what the original ending of AC3 was supposed to be.

Because alot of people were saying "Not true!!!!!" to stuff that just got pretty much confirmed true lol
People were saying that the level select stuff about playing as all of those different assassins was not true. >.>
EDIT:Lol I just noticed that I have received a tag.

Yea, but it looks like its true. The first one (and only selectable) in the level select screen was "The Tragedy of Jacques De Molay" - a member of the knights templar order. And in the video of the Rift - there are templar shields scattered all over the place. So you can connect the dots.
Sure, the other stuff is probably not in the Beta - but it seems way more likely to be a thing in the game now than back when we didnt have this video.

Pretty sure no other endings were planned other than the one we got. Although unfortunately this never made it into the actual game.

Oh boy, I love that deleted scene. It's my favourite thing about AC3 (or would be, if it was actually in the game and not cut) lol

Connor was supposed to find out that it was Washington who ordered the burning of Connors village as a child, not the templars. From a former dev post on reddit, apparently the game was supposed to end with you killing Washington. However it was deemed to controversial. So I think thats why they made the tyranny DLC, as some alternate history deal.

I can see why they would change that. Although
we do find that out at some point in the game.
The game has a ton of deleted scenes that I wish were in there. Wouldn't mind a Kenway Trilogy remastered directors cut or something.

You the player finds that out. Connor never does though.

The statements that were called bullshit to were that you would be able to join into different time periods with friends and play as different Assassin's during that time period. All of which you were fully able to outfit and customize. Quoting the reddit idiot, "You could play as Vaseline <--lol. And also have 4 other friends join you". Sorry, but all of that is bullshit.

Alright, I can see that being bullshit. There is no way we get that stuff. He also talked about being able to free-roam and do side-stuff in all those areas. Nope. The area in the video was actually quite small, so I think this is what it'll be limited to. Small challenge maps (called Rifts in the game - with different Assassins in different time periods).

That still seems like a nice idea though, and it looked alright. I can see it being fun - playing for highscores.

Sigh.... of course Connor, the one Assassin I want to play as again, doesn't seem to have a mission. Just his dad it seems.

There are 2 Haytham ones, so one might be a placeholder/mistake and actually be Connor. I thought it was odd that Haytham is the only one with 2 missions.

I'm thinking the wolf and washington is a connor mission, because Connor is the only assassin named after a wolf. Everyone else is named after eagles.

That tearing in the second gif is horrific.

He finds out that Washington ordered an attack on the village at that point because they were aiding the british, not the inital attack when he was a kid.
But
Charles Lee at that point works for Washington out in the open while working for Haytham behind the scenes. Connor naturally connects the dots. Which is why he also blames Haytham since Haytham not only lied about not knowing about it but also didn't do anything to prevent it.

So, the Rifts are about locating and freeing Assassins. Wonder if we might not play as them, but rather play Arno (for some reason) and have to collect the data in the various missions to free the Assassins on the pictures?

I think that'd be weird though. I can see Ezio going around Florence freeing Assassins, but not Arno going around Florence freeing Ezio lol

Right, but it was still something of a betrayal considering how Connor had been helping him with the express purpose of keeping his people safe.

The guy who Connor had already saved a few times couldn't speak to Connor about it first? Not to mention the whole civilian collateral damage vs enemy combatants grey area of burning down an entire village.

Uhm........you should watch the video

Also this thread is finally helping me understand why AC3 was so bad.
Glad it's the only AC game I've skipped.

You missed out on a very tragic tale with the only assassin we played as so far who never broke the tenets. And also the most fleshed out side characters in the form of homestead missions. Which in retrospect could've been added to the main narrative as a way to alleviate the overly oppressive tone of the campaign.

Fuck this game.

Yes, let's be preemptively outraged over some optional obstacle course minigame

Well about this image and the leaked video, a few thoughts :

It doesn't look like fake (UI from ACU, good artwork and chara design when it's not artwork we already know)

"Devils of the Caribbean" is supposed to be the fictional Abstergo Entertainment game you work on as a researcher in AC4.
AC Liberation with Aveline was supposed to be a fictional game too

So what are these missions/stuff/content ? There are Templars and Assassins we know about, played or saw in the games...and 3 unknown Assassins (or Templars?). It seems to be just a setting / background for one of the co-cop modes where you collect bonus. And at the end you have a "database entry unlocked"

Skimmed a few posts and I think I'm bailing out.

I can't imagine the series will ever have another reveal as big as "surprise, present day sci-fi stuff" in the first (especially since AC3 demonstrated they're not terribly invested in the cross-game present-day narrative anymore), but still, I guess I don't want to be spoiled on any potential surprises.

My bet is on Rogue. Would make more sens to reuse assets from all AC in this one. Just make new skins and animation for Shao Jun and put her in the scenrio in Italy like in the movie Embers. No way this is for Unity.

Only part not working with my theory is jazz age junky. That is ... nothing like we ever seen in AC ... I don't even see what could come close as setting.

Yeah, it was pretty shit. Fuck Connor.

He finds out that Washington ordered an attack on the village at that point because they were aiding the british, not the inital attack when he was a kid.

Heytham: By burning their villages and salting their land. By calling for their extermination, according to this letter. Not the first time either. Tell him what you did fourteen years ago.

Washington: That was another time. The Seven Years War.

And then Connor tells them both to stay away from him. Haytham is clearly referring to Connor's village being burned down 14 year earlier, and Connor clearly gets it. Though he really doesn't seem to mind too much, but that's because he's a shitty character.

I love you. Everything stated here is exactly why I love AC3.

Or his loyalty to his creed and homestead meant more to him than revenge. Shocking how anti-tropey that is, I know.

I do love when folks break NDAs in order for that 5 minutes of internet fame >.>

Edit: The one who leaked those videos is an idiot, using those scores and who his "competitor"(assuming it's some kind of versus mode) was it can be traced back to the person who leaked it.
That tearing in the second gif is horrific.
It's probably a build that's been created to test certain aspects of the game outside of the studio for a focus group of some kind, this kind of stuff happens more than you'd think, so with that in mind it's probably not the most up-to-date built in terms of optimization and such ;)

That avatar is ballin!

As for this entire thread O__O people are crazy.
Thanks. A gaffer made it for me a while back. (I forget who, at the moment)
I think the Washington and the Wolf one is supposed to be Connor when he is Captain of the Aquila.
I'm still pissed this was replaced by that shitty regal outfit. This is exactly the outfit I envisioned when I first stated my ideas for a American Revolution AC game.

I doubt we will be playing as these Assassin's/Templars

The Rift mission this guy is playing is the "Tragedy of Jacques" right? Seems to me you just run around to get the data to "release" these characters, which you then get database entries for.
