Dear Bungie,

How in the blazing hell am I supposed to get the materials necessary to upgrade all this shit? I officially have more exotic gear than I have legendary equipment.

All I wanted was a freaking purple helmet o_o

1. That warlock body in pic 1 is exactly what I want.
2. How the fuck did you get so many Exotics!?

So after sulking because I got my last coin 22 minutes after Xur left (trying not to think about it), Bungie felt sorry for me and said "Sorry you couldn't get the Legendary helmet because we don't count Sunday as 'weekend', here's an Epic helmet from am engram in PVP".

And it only took 36 hours and 31 minutes of /played.

Has anyone used pulse rifles in PVP? I really want to try them out but their burst fire makes them rather underpowered against auto rifles. Bungie really needs to fix auto rifles by the way, they are are extremely overpowered in the game.
I would but it seems like the faster your gun fires the better in pvp at the moment

Okay, I finally got an Exotic Weapon bounty (How? I have no idea. Just showed up at the mailbot).

So the first part of the bounty tells me I need to finish five strikes without dying. Okay, that is fucking annoying as hell, but fine, I can just do it on low level strikes; it's a waste of my time, but alright. So I did that. I go back, and then they give me the second part of the bounty.

They want me to earn a fucking K/D spread of 25 in crucible. Are you fucking kidding me!? And from what I understand, this is only the second part of like five parts, just for this one fucking exotic weapon. This is so utterly stupid and defeating. How in the fuck does Bungie think this is fun? For that matter, for almost all of their customers, this isn't even an accomplishable feat. How do they think this is good design?

This reminds me of SoE back in the day when they came out with their bullshit of wanting it to be almost impossible for anyone to be a Jedi in their Star Wars MMO, so that way for the fraction of a percentage of the people who actually get to be it, they get a feeling of accomplishment. This is a product that is meant to and has sold to millions and millions of people. Eight tenths of one percentage point of people on PSN currently have obtained even *one* exotic. Does Bungie genuinely think this is a fun reward structure? So 99.2% of their entire user base of millions are able to actually enjoy a piece of content that they produced? Ugh.

I've actually not been super critical on a lot of the game's faults, but almost my entire frustration with the game comes down to one simple thing; Bungie does not value my time. I am perfectly capable of handling challenging gameplay, but don't give me goals that are either nearly impossible to accomplish, or requiring ridiculous RNG luck, or requiring me to invest countless hours for completely disproportionate rewards. I think that's going to be it for me, I had a lot of fun and put a good bit of time in, but every goal left is just too frustrating now. Maybe I'll pick it up again in 6 months when there are patches/updates/DLC. Ugh, sorry, just had to vent.

I just got this bounty. I didn't know it had 5 parts. The 25 K/D lol. Bungie needs to get real with this shit. I don't feel like grinding out hours of my life doing shit like this.

as I said, I don't know how they count this. I managed to get this part in about an hour, just make sure you always kill more than you die in a match. The count is over the span of several matches.

Bungie gives an epic questline that will reward people who put in the time to do it with a special weapon.

This is apparently shit.

When Blizzard does something like that it is the greatest thing in an MMO ever.

I see how it is here.

Yea I wouldn't even bother with the exotic bounties. It's better to just do the weekly heroic strikes to grind for strange coins in order to get the exotic gear.

The majority playing the game probably haven't touched WoW before. I know I haven't.

I'm not really sure "don't die five times" and "get a KDR of 25" are really what I'd call epic.

I definitely like the idea of the rare, accomplished unlocks, but there has to be a more creative and slightly less absurd way to set something like that up.

basically, add as many GAF players as you can to yur friends list. You can then see them in the ingame friendslist and can see if their fireteams are set to friends jon/public. You can then just ump in their game and say hi :D

Awesome.

Any list of GAF Destiny players?

would also appreciate it if people from here can add me "ZonGz" :)

Let me try and remember.

I think the scout rifle came from an engram in a chest in venus.

I bought the gauntlets from the dealer, along with an exotic engram for the warlock chest armor

The self guiding rocket launcher came as a random drop during the crucible.

And finally the shotgun is from the exotic quest that the other guy is complaining about.

The difference I see is Blizzard's new questline approach is doable by pretty much anybody easily while this one is nearly impossible?

But like, why even complain about this bounty? Are you forced to do it?

Is the game,as you start it up, literally saying "I am sorry you can now only do this bounty until you complete it all other activities in Destiny are now locked till you are done"?

Cause it doesn't.

If you say it's not possible or unreasonable for you to do it THEN DON'T DO IT.

You are not missing out here. You are not losing. You are not the worst player in the game cause you are not doing a bounty line that is CLEARLY meant to be in there for extremely passionate players who just WANT that reward at the end as a badge of honor.

Like, wtf people, seriously.

I've been stuck at level 24 for three days now, since I have had zero luck getting a single legendary item. I'll be able to buy one soon when I reach rank 2 with one of the factions, but due to the 100 mark limit I'll only be able to get one. I was hoping to be able to be ready to do the raid when it opens but thanks to the randomness of drops from strikes and crucible, as well as always getting blue items from purple encrypted stuff, I probably won't be able to. I guess there isn't much point to this post except to vent a little bit, since it's super frustrating after reaching 20 so early to hit a roadblock due to random drop rates.

Damn, level 24 and you won't be ready for the raid? How strong did Bungie say you should be for the raids?

Don't worry, half of the posts in this topics are people complaining about the RNG loot drops - myself included.

Bungie needs to work on a loot table, like WoW. Unless they're planning on micro transactions - "Buy this and have a greater chance of epics!"

Soooo....I.....I think I beat the game?

Beat some statues and a big black blob. Did I win?

I really dig the world of this game a lot, but man it needs some better story telling. Even just lore. Hell, if this game had no cutscenes but a Mass Effect style lore log, I would be ALL OVER that shit.

If I earn 100 marks, and spend some, will I be able to earn more marks until I get to 100 again? Or is it 100 once and wait a week?

I think that if the player had the option to talk to NPC's about quests or to find out information it would have really helped with the story.

Dinklage bot should have been captured or damaged at some point and we should have been able to fix him as a quest, that would add some kind of attachment to the cube.

The fact that the ghost does everything for you while you deal the muscle is rather terrible.

Whoever worked on the way loot is handed out for destiny really dropped the ball, if they expected only a handful of users to have exotics they should not be given out randomly after a pvp battle, lock them behind challenging but possible goals (not 25 KD, that's just nuts in a game where you die instantly most of the time)

I was expecting exotics to be rare reward drops from super tough bosses, not a roll of the dice, doesn't help that finding a purple engram will be a blue 90% of the time, every purple I have found so far, about 5 or so, only one has been an actual purple item and that was for warlock, I play titan.

I'm not fully against RNG item drops but destiny does it in the wrong way.

I haven't seen any legendary engrams thus far. Never seen it drop or someone looting it. Unlucky or does it require anything? Im a lvl 21 hunter and I keep getting blues or greens.

I'm in the same place, stuck at 24 since friday. 100/100 Vanguard and Crucible marks, completed the weekly herioc on lvl 26, but in all this time i've only had 2 legendary drops, one turned into a blue cloak the other into leg armour for another class.
Guess i'll just pvp some and hope for a change of luck, but the way loot RNG is setup is disheartening.
