Me too! And there are some others floating around too (there should be one for the first three games, right?). I'll let you know if I get one, I generally get a lot of streetpasses.

Oh, thank you so much! I appreciate it :D I get 0 streetpasses where I live, so it's kind of a pain haha.

Yeah, I'm assuming that there would be one for I-III but I'm not too sure what it's called. Looks like someone over on Gamefaqs has a bunch of the nostalgia maps, but I really hate going on there :/

Random thing. If you're using that FAQ on GameFAQs like I am to beeline to the characters you want first, be aware that there's no such thing as Pink Crystal Shards. It should be Peach Crystal Shards as it is in the game.

Ah, I have a few of those, I'm not sure I have enough though! I got right to the end of my quest, 30 days into it, and I just have the final boss to do. It's One Winged Angel from FFVII. I figured I'd give it a quick go outside the quest to see how I did and... I died, about 60% into it. Haha. It's hard enough as it is, but I've had the Advent Children version of it on my phone for years and I'm so used to that version that I couldn't keep time at all with the original.

I'm scared.

Okay, last question. How important is multiplayer to this? I'm going to be playing during lunches in a mostly wifi-free place (security reasons at my work) so multiplayer is out of the question.

You won't miss it. It's brilliant if you can play it, and sharing maps is fun, but you'll be able to have a totally full experience without it as well.

Whoa. Hold up everyone.

I can basically make my own ideal Quest, right?

Using the Siren to add "fearsome foes" to each BMS, Gysahl Whistle to call a Fat Chocobo to each BMS, and Gambler's Spirit to change each song to my liking, it seems like I'd be able to do so by replaying the same map over and over.

Is that right?

If it is, does using the LevelDown Nut until I spawn three bosses with decent farmable items make sense or are they all going to be crappy items? Am I best off trying for truly random / high level Maps for rare items (Scrolls, etc.)?

Can these quests then be passed on in their customised form? I've noticed some Maps using my DLC.

Sorry if this has already been answered!

So.. which songs have you guys "truly" SSS'd (Got 9,999,999 points in) on Ultimate difficulty? I figured it would be a good idea to list them here so that we can see eachothers songs and possibly try those ones out first since some songs are much harder to perfect than others.

So far I've got 9,999,999 on 9 songs:

Battle (FFI)
This is the Last Battle (FFIII)
Battle to the Death (FFVI)
Kefka's Tower (FFVI)
Don't be Afriad (FFVIII)
A Fleeting Dream (FFX)
Boss Battle (FFXII)
Fighting Fate (FFXIII)
Chaos (Lightning Returns)

A good idea is to favourite songs you have perfected, that way you will have them organised and can easily spot them.

So the game said the new dlc is out. I got a spot pass saying it was out.

Game loads store with nothing new in it.

Don't worry...we won't have to go to the darkside to get those maps. I'm also playing against JP players in versus, since they often have Premium maps (and some nostalgia ones too!)

I'll be online in about an hour. I have 4 nostalgia maps if people want them (L50 bracing, L99 fierce, L75 pastoral, L50 aging). Only catch is, I want to play a minimum of 3 versus matches. I am addicted...

In the off chance that "L Cat" (with Snow party leader) posts or lurks on GAF, that was an awesome series of ongoing matches we had!

Two randoms stuck with each other through 13 songs, and capped it off with the ending theme from Dissidia. We even picked the other's song choice if we won the coin toss multiple times in a row.

Had lots of fun, thanks!

Got news of the new DLC. 4 of the ROMANCING SAGA songs are now available, along with Cloud from Advent Childen & 4 other FF songs. I'll type the list up.

....actually, they're not up yet. Guess they'll be added at Noon ET like the rest of the eShop.

Edit: Not sure on the FF songs, but I know the RS ones:

- The Sewers (FMS, Romancing Saga)
- Battle! Saurin (BMS, Romancing Saga)
- Seven Heroes' Battle (BMS, Romancing Saga 2)

Edit: Also I'm looking at the DLC list for VIII and while it's nice, why in the hell is Liberi Fatali and Landing not priority over Balamb Garden and Premonition? I love both tracks but come on.

Could someone provide a youtube link to the Romancing SaGa 3 song? I'm not finding anything with the same name so I'm not entirely sure. Still baffled they don't have song clips in the DLC shop.

I let it run overnight and it was still doing it this morning. Expected the worst so I just went to my home screen to reboot the game. Same thing after about 20 mins of checking data.

I downloaded all the FF songs from today, but I just rebooted the game as you say and it 'checked' data for 5 seconds then BAM, game is back. Crisis averted.

No longer get an unlock every 500rm either.

Edit: Cleared FF IX Battle 2 with an S...then decided to fucking slog through those terrible fucking EMS songs. I hated every minute of it, but every song is done, all with an S or higher except for the EMS because they are proof satan exists. All on Ultimate.

Finally unlocked all characters. Feel soooo good. I'm digging doing FMS... Not so much BMS, mainly because some of them are just way too vicious (I'm playing with the stylus only by the way). My first BMS ever left me in a state of despair for a while (Final Battle - FFV ~ I should do it again, now that I am more skilled). I'm leveling Locke like crazy, in order for him to be able to equip Sight 3, Treasure Hunter 3 and a couple of other good skills.

By the way, if two different characters are using the same skills (for example, Sight 2), does the effects add up (ie. do I have +30% of meeting a Fat Chocobo, or just +15%)?

Skills should add up, but I am not quite sure if this is also true for the probability ones.

Getting more and more irritated since my analog nub keeps failing me on the down-right slide triggers. It's not even all the time, totally random and sometimes it even seems like a software bug, since some particular notes in a song happen to misstrigger more often than others. Rather killing my enjoyment right now and I also don't want to go back to Stylus controls, since I just don't enjoy those very much. Hopefully it fixes itself somehow or I'll be shelfing the game way sooner than expected and would have another reason to pick up Smash next week. :/

Just got my ass kicked online. Holy shit that guy was good. Looking at his ProfiCard afterwards, no wonder - he has over 500 hours play time, with over 3000 online battle wins.

One day...

EDIT: I now feel the need to change my avatar for some reason. Strange.

If you don't mind a fairly easy main game and a saccharine story (but who plays roguelikes for their stories?), I highly recommend it. Dungeon crawling as an adorable chocobo with classic Final Fantasy jobs and music is a pretty sweet combination.
