Ultron sounds retard strong, so here's my question:

Ultron vs Amazo from the JLU cartoon, who wins? Amazo seemed OP as fuck to me, he literally moved a planet full of Green Lanterns out of the way(or was it to another dimension? It's been a while) b/c he was too lazy to go around it.

Ultron is pretty cool, ut I wonder why they don't let him just close his mouth. It does make him really creepy though so I guess it helps make what he is clearer.

JLU Amazo is one of the few cases I think where the character is stronger (and far, far more interesting) than their comic selves. I think he can beat Ultron personally but I might be wrong.

Cartoon Amazo was more powerful than his comic counterpart. So he would win. If it was Comic Ultron vs Comic Amazo,, easy win for Ultron.

Almost certainly Amazo there if they got into a fistfight, but Ultron is probably intelligent enough to kill him some other way.

Ultron isn't really similar to Amazo though- the one you're actually looking for here is the super adaptoid.

See I was just thinking about Super Adaptoid, wish they used him more

Wouldn't an infinity gauntlet equipped Thanos just shit on Ultron?

Thanos without a single infinity gem would obliterate Ultron. Let me put it this way: Uncle Ben vs Spiderman to the death. It's not even close.

eh, I dunno if I'd go that far. Ultron is a very nasty character.

Thanos would win more often than not, but Ultron would give him the fits. Taking over the Phalanx and and cutting a swath of murder across the galaxy is right up there with Thanos' greatest hits.

So wait, what exactly are Thanos' non gauntlet powers? I thought he was just like super smart and super strong

Thanos is an Eternal. At base they are all born with

Superhuman strength. The limits of their strength can be increased as a result of years of focusing some of their energy towards that purpose.
Projecting concussive blasts, heat, and/or blinding flashes of energy from their eyes and hands
Flight (and levitating others)
Reading/controlling minds
Generating illusions
Teleporting vast distances, though most Eternals prefer not to use this ability as many find it uncomfortable (and according to the most recent series, it also greatly depletes their store of cosmic energy)
Transmuting objects, altering both their shape and composition. (The extent of this ability can vary from one Eternal to another.)
Forcefield generation providing invulnerability to harm.

But Thanos is a mutant eternal who augmented his body with cybernetics and magic.

Literally everything. Thanos has no limits at all.

He is nota reality warper

eh, no- but ultra high end matter manipulation is close enough. If he wants to turn you into a pile of bricks he probably could.

*thinking* I doubt he can time travel also, that's another one.

Except escaping Death's friendzone. He will be there forever.

Death admitted she loved him, brought him back to life after being killed in annihilation, and he's currently death's avatar after murdering the old one out of a job.

Well yeah, with the Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos is basically God. He can snap his fingers and kill anybody, or everybody. Or change the nature of reality. He could cancel DC Comics titles if he wanted to. Or become part of the real world outside of comic books. He's aware of other realities, and could change Happy Days so Fonzie dies in season one if he wanted a laugh.

Without the Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos is still completely leagues about Ultron, as well as basically anyone else outside of personified abstract concepts in the MU like Death and Eternity (or Galactus). And even against "people" like them, well... he'll figure something out.

This is what I don't care for in comic books, why even make a villain like that? He has no fucking weakness and magically the superheroes beat him.

Well he did turn a skrull into a statue once. But hasn't shown to flex on Sersi or Sprite's level.

As villains go, he's pretty compelling. infinity (at least his half of it) was one of the better crossover events marvel has done in quite some time.

and the aftermath is just outstanding.

He also spends a lot of time as part of cosmic Marvel, where he has more competition than he would on earth.

apparently things are the other way around again, as of "Thanos Rising."

My boy is out of the friendzone.

What was the point of the comic implying that Thanos seeing Death was all in his head? Is it just that the Death he saw when he was younger wasn't real and he ended up meeting her for real later on?

eh.

In fact one could say he's closer to Doomsday because he can't be defeated the same way twice

Living Tribunal, Heart of the Universe Thanos and The One Above All, also if he leaves the universe where he is the gems are useless

Isn't Living Tribunal dead? Didn't someone find his body on the moon?

Except that generally they don't. When Thanos sets out to do something he does it, his worst enemy is his own subconscious belief that he isn't worthy of godhood.
