The city, crowds and animations are all super impressive. Not sold on the actual game yet though, what is my pirate ship equivalent that stops this from being another basic AC.
They have a lot of appel. They're all extremely gorgeous graphically, have an excellent design (although... assassins should try not to dress so showy), they have really nice and interesting setting and it's nice to explore the game counterparts of old real cities. The presentation is top notch. Are they really? The majority of the posts I read did not think that AC2, Brotherhood and Black Flag were terrible.
Things just turned to shit with AC3 and a lot of people tend not to forgive Ubisoft for that.
Yet they sell.....alot.
I'm pretty sure that the hour of judgement passed ages ago, if the majority of posts about the game recently are anything to go by.
No longer really true. At least in Black Flag I was killed in combat quite a few times because enemies no longer stand and wait for you to kill them.Combat wise is just terrible, with enemies that take ticket for the turn to be slaughtered.
Should of said final judgement..
But I wonder if there is still time to fix it, as when I was play the... I noticed, but I'm bound by NDA so i can't say what they are .certain issues with the npc
Mordor copied it, but at least there are not so many and he side content is more varied and fun.
We'll seeLol just stop.
Look at the jungle gameplay demo from TGS. I haven't noticed any pop-in. Also Kojima said before he showed the Afghanistan demo to the public that it is still in early stage and he didn't really want to show it yet but he did it for the fans.
Just compare the E3 and Gamescom demo. In the beginning of the E3 demo behind Ocelot there was a flickery shadow. That was fixed in the Gamescom demo. So yeah don't judge a game when it's not even finished yet. They are constantly working on the game, unlike Unity which already went gold.

11 minutes of nighttime gameplay. No ambient music pretty much confirmed at this point, so let down.
Sincerely it looks like an AC2 clone. Which is fine by me, that is the best template for an AC game.
No ambient music makes absolutely no sense. One of the only things I routinely remember about the AC2 games (which I liked) was the great music while I traversed the city and countryside.
Do they think the setting is too serious for background music? Is there any chance we're reaching false conclusions based on limited evidence?

I don't think being annoyed at a stagnant series or Ubisoft's audiovisual lies is unwarranted.
When he kills that guards it only takes one or two attacks. Must be invested in the combat skill tree. Pop in and frame drops are also less frequent in this video. Also confirms that the blood splatter on the wall wasn't an e3 specific effect.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLUdllu5TvU

So goddamn good. AC Brotherhood is the pinnacle of the series and the soundtrack is a big reason why.man, the lack of ambient music really is a bummer.
remember this shit? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwVvkf5CeJU
gawd damn.
I was just thinking that too. Aside from some fancy lighting and more crowds, one would be hard pressed to tell the difference. That being said I played AC2 on the PC, so I already benefitted from higher graphic fidelity.
And being French instead of Italian, of course.

If you are talking about graphic difference is huge. I made this AC2 SS and they look blurry even on PC

Indeed. People claiming that Unity doesn't look much better than last gen AC are just nuts. I don't know if they just have rose tinted glasses, or if it is part of a crusade to slam the game every chance they get. The difference is absolutely huge in every single way. The scope, the crowds, the amount of detail in the world, the animation, the lighting, everything. Regardless of resolution and NPC pop-in, the game looks stunning to me.Pretty much. Some people seem to have these romantic images of past games on how they look until they revert back to it.

The big graphical jump in the series came when they introduced a new engine in 3. This game is the second big graphical jump in the series. And watching the stream now, love the transitions from cutscenes to gameplay. Quality is god awful though, PS4 streams usually look bad but not this bad.Ok i decided to post screenshots i made from AC2 to ACIV just to compare graphics. Unfortunately i don't have any AC1 Screenshots. All images are from PC version and improvements are noticeable with each game.
According to the leaker there are ambient music at some locations and some times.
It confirms the leaks of the soundtrack.
