Her eyes are just closed, but for a second there I thought we were seeing an evil "black eyes" Cassandra.

Well, I'm now processing my refund guys. It's upsetting to miss out on playing the newest entry of one of my favourite series, but I digress. (Making me wait 10-15 days to get the money back too, no less).

Hope you have fun playing it and don't have issues like me!

Edit: They did give me a 15 % discount coupon, which is nice...though I can't use it :p

So I am trying to rush through DA2 before Tuesday. I believe I am at the end of act 2. I am
about to investigate several humans taking on the quanari (spelling?) religion and am about to go talk to the Arishoke (spelling?)

Two questions:

1. When should I play the 2 DLC?
2. Including the DLC how much longer do I have?

as always the prices make little sense

UK £59.99/$94 $94!!!!!

Mexico £27/$44

suddenly this is me

man-wearing-a-mexican-hat.jpg

it's hilarious how EA/Ubisoft/other shitty pubs are trying to force PC game retail prices up from the standard of £30. Having to buy from a different country just to get the usual UK PC pricing.

You are near the end of act 2. Act 3 is shorter than the first 2.
I always played the DLC after the ending so i could bring hawke's sibling on legacy, id suggest you to do the same. Mark of the assassin can be played whenever in act 3 but there is content in legacy where it would be beneficial story wise to bring carver/bethany.

Immediately after the end of Act 2 to take advantage of the break in the story.

You might as well play them both during Act 3. Mark of the Assassin can be done whenever. Assuming you want to bring your sibling with you for Legacy (which you should), I think it fits in best after the quest "Best Served Cold" (which is really close to the end).

Both siblings are dead. Carver died at the beginning of the game and Bethany died on the expedition

lol shame. If you had brought Anders with you it'd be a different story. I didn't even like Anders and brought him by pure coincidence because I always had him with me as my healer.

I can confirm Dragon Age Inquisition is now up for pre-load on PS4. Get to it it's going to take a while. Upside of PS4 is we can download a portion of it and start playing. Probably the 20 something GB as the rest downloads in the background

edit: sorry it's downloading the whole thing. But for now it seems to only be going for 5.27 GB to start with. Not sure why.

I need some Tyrone sliders (or equivalent) for this game, GAF.

Playing Mass Effect with this dude in charge was great.

He almost looks furious that the camera is down there lol

Really? Is this true? I romanced Morrigan so may have to change that.

Yep. None of the returning characters are a romance option in this game. Including Leliana and Morrigan. You can only romance new characters.

Finally got the Mexican VPN thing to work and for the Deluxe version for $45. I have a feeling I won't even like this game, but I am dying for an fantasy RPG to play.

I played Dragon Age Origins for about half an hour and hated the camera movements so I quit playing. This has the same thing but I'm willing to give this more of chance since I paiud for it instead of getting for free like DA: O

My PS4 download speed was going slow as ever living fuck and then shot right up after the update file was downloaded. I don't have the fastest internet ever (fluctuates between 12 to 20 mbps) The game is downloading 5.27 GB to begin with and I'm almost at 1 GB already. If it's 30 mins per GB I should be able to download this by tomorrow morning.

Hopefully the 5.27GB it's downloading to begin with is what the game needs to download to begin with so you can start playing regardless of how much more it still needs to download.

I know this has been probably asked to death but is it fine to play this game without having played the previous 2?

Woooo got dat preload started up on the PS4. First digital preorder I've ever done. I'm normally more of a physical game buyer, but I might convert now.

I've been enjoying the sense of community here, but once we hit unabashed spoiler territory a few pages back? I'm out. See you in the OT, folks!

Yes but you'll be a bit lost if you don't do some research on the lore. Here's the lore for newbies thread

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=931900

Read the OP. Watch the videos in that same first page if you don't want to read and want a more visual telling of the lore. Ask questions if needed.

She was in DA2 regardless, so I imagine the same would be true for DAI.
Yep. Only logic I can come up with is that
you left her for dead but somehow she survived via the ashes or by you not making sure it was fatal. Either that or she's now some form ghost/holy being disguised as a human

My wife has put in about 20 hours since Friday - she thinks it's better than DA1, DA2 and Skyrim. Equal to Oblivion.

Pros: There is so much to do in this game. Amazing graphics and music. Fantastic combat.

Her only cons are: there doesn't seem to be huge dungeons so far only little caves. Also, the constellation mini games can be pretty annoying.

I can't wait to try it myself

Can someone who played the game more elaborate on the "no big dungeons" thing? Kind of a bummer if true.

How did she put in 20 hours? Unless there's a trick to the EA Access demo or she has a review copy. Damn.

Also on a side note I may have miscalculated how long it'd take me. It says I have 23 mins left to download 5.27 Gbs so it'll be a grand total of like 50 minutes for 5 gbs. It might actually take me like 8-9 hours. Dat speed.

The downside of this shit is that I have to make the rest of my bandwidth cap last enough for 2 more weeks or so. Which shouldn't be an issue considering my roommate doesn't download a lot of stuff, and while we both watch netflix/amazon prime we don't do it so often that we will reach the cap

No meaningful first day DLC this time around i see. Both ME3 and DA:O and DA 2 had companions as day one dlcs, with exclusives quests, areas and items. I never bought the Exiled prince for DA2 but both Shale and Javik were great companions in DA:O and ME3, so its a shame that not everyone got to experience them. In that sense its great that people dont have to pay for it at launch, but at the same time, i like the feeling of getting the collectors edition of a game with meaningful extra content. This time around ill simply get the regular PC retail copy, since no physical special edition for PC exists.
