Remasters everywhere. On the ground, in the air. They're big as a bull, quick as a cat. They're this and they're that.

Though I thought GAF loved their Souls. Remasters do appeal to a certain demographic, but I'm not one to speak since I've been waiting 18 months for GTA5. We all have our breaking point.

Did you seriously expect a big announcement monday night ?
You know, when there are two big events in like week ?

The conclusion of that announcement should be something to focus on.
This wasn't announced at the PS event or the Game Awards, so an announcement like this won't be part of the actual show.
Be glad about it and expect different things from both these events...

Cool out of the blue announcement even if we all knew it was coming just like we knew GTAV was coming and AC rouge and Borderlands the prequel will likely come as well.

Extremely average? C'mon now. The worst of the souls series? Yes. But it's still head and shoulders above average.

Yup, GAF apparently just likes to ignore the DLC, they are one of the highest points in the series (and possibly the best part of this game).

The bright side of this announcement means that they're probably saving the airtime for new games
and FF7 Remastered
at the Game Awards and the PS Experience

I have heard DS2 to be the worst in the series, but to say its an average game?

Even a bad souls game is a good game, I would think.

Not sure I get the need for a Dark Souls II port. It was available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. I'm pretty sure anyone who wanted to play it probably would have by now. Guess this is good for first-time console owners, then? And if it is indeed good for them, then I guess that's what matters most.

Verendus, just give me a JRPG from Sony, seriously... Legend of the Dragoon may not be as popular as everyone would want it to be but Dart was even going to be in Playstation All-Stars! That has to show that Sony cares!

Not really. The biggest game that is going to be revealed in December (in my opinion at least) isn't a remaster, and I'm sure the internet will be very happy when it's announced. I didn't even include it in my bet as a joke option since I think it's a really nice surprise. Well, kind of, though a bit weird phrased like that. There's probably some other stuff too. December is going to be a pretty good month.

Plus time off for a lot of people, I'm sure. That's always really nice. And the snow.

You can say that about GTA5,Tomb Raider,The Last of Us and other games as well yet the HD ports sold well.

We do love souls but most people in this thread probably played it on ps3 or 360 a year or less ago, so we're not dying to play again (not speaking for everyone). Still a great pre-show Monday night announcement.

It's awesome, but the December Event will have a lot of different announcements, some minor, some major. Everyone needs to readjust their expectations (go on a hype trolley instead of a hype train), and know that some announcements will appeal to you, some won't, it's not E3, it's not Gamescom, but you'll see some cool glimpses of what's in store.

At least one announcement will get most gamers excited for sure, and lots of other stuff in store. Panels with developers, behind the scene information, awesome insight into development.

It's a celebration of gaming and 20 years of PlayStation, and you'll get some great news as well. Take it in and enjoy

Agreed and on on top of that new gameplay for 2015 tiles should be awesome I think.

They're partly using it to battle the drought and earn some extra money, which is fine by me.
Especially since alot of later last gen games struggled with the hardware and had to endure technical problems or low standards, so if the remaster is done well I'm fine with it.
Plus it's not really eating up that much resources.

TLG not big enough. It's nice, don't get me wrong, but I mean in terms of overall appeal. TLG has two handicaps, one is that jabroni that looks like an oversized turkey, and the other is that six year old who looks like he's never seen something like that before.

Personally, I'm not sure how people are supposed to connect with something that doesn't exist. It's not like its Jurassic Park.

That's Horizon, Guerrilla Games new crazy sci-fi/tribal RPG with an open world as big as Witcher and co-op play but with a focus on single player.

Certain parts are going to be streamed, but definitely not all of it. It's a paid event after all.
