TitanFall PC - $5

TBH you have no concrete evidence to any of this! Stop trying to push people away from this amazing title, you hater!!

What is there to do without other players? You can't even go into private matches without someone else.

Your post is a head-scratcher. You are supremely wrong in the first part and totally right in your follow-up comment. lol

I'm not "pushing people away". In case you missed it, I said this is the best MULTIPLAYER game I've ever played other than the L4D series. So, obviously I have a lot of love for Titanfall. I've put nearly 200 hours into this game and know it backwards and forwards. After getting the Season Pass on sale recently I started playing a LOT and I can tell you right now that what I said about the dwindling player-base is 100% factual.

I'll re-state it again: Quite a lot of people are still playing ATTRITION mode, so there is almost always enough people that you can get into a good attrition match fairly quickly. CAMPAIGN mode has the second most players at all times, but it is a DISTANT second place with about 10-20% of the player numbers (so, if Attrition has say 2000 people playing world-wide then Campaign is usually somewhere between 200-400 people). ALL OTHER MODES are CRICKETS. GRAVE-YARD. DEAD. There are rarely more than 25-50 people online WORLD-WIDE for ALL other modes in the game at any given time.

Edit: With that said, you are absolutely right in following up my comment when you said that you can't do anything in the game by yourself. It has NO single player mode and does not allow you to play offline.

Thanks for the heads up, the worst is that I was cleaning up my PC and removed the game (played the 48 hour free version) so now I have to re-download 20GB lol

So, does this game have enough content to justify a $5 purchase? Because that's one thing I keep hearing, is that it lacks content.

What kind of value do you need for $5?

I will spend more than that tomorrow morning picking up breakfast on the way to work

If I didn't have a pass the cost for me to take the bus 2 ways to get to work would cost more than than

ect...

I was joking with the first part. One guy was saying because there's no officially released player numbers, that any other evidence is moot including first hand

I was simply inferring the game is not dead, and there is still a healthy community participating in the game. It's no Call of Duty, but who cares?

As a video game enthusiast forum, it's up to us to perpetuate the hobby. Titanfall continues to get cheaper and cheaper, yet some people still find the need to shit up the threads, say negative things about it, and root for its eventual demise. And for what?

It's not even the cool thing anymore to badmouth Titanfall. Look how sparse the threads are. Now the people who do that just seem bitter and misguided.

I am a recent console convert, play with xbox controllers wherever possible. Am I just going to get curbstomped?

The aim assist is the same as on Xbox One, you'll be fine if you are competent at console FPS, I use controller on PC and have a 2.5 KD vs players. Just don't expect a top notch performance because you definitely won't be winning fights against top KB/M players.

I tried it out with that free Origin game time thing. Earlier this evening there was less than 1,000 people in the most populated playlist. That's ... not a lot. Under 1,000 is generally where I'll frequently see lag/ping issues. Granted that's not going to be everyone's experience of course, as location is a big factor.

Gotta say, I am quite surprised it did not retain more players.

5$ means it will be worth buying if I only have one really fun evening with it basically. Too bad it is not that cheap in EU but can just buy from NA store.

Played a lot of Titanfall this fall and while the PC population is small I wouldn't call it dead. Attrition and Frontier Defense always have reasonable populations. Capture the Flag and Last Titan Standing tends to have pretty small numbers but as long as you're willing to see a lot of the same people it tends to have a match going at any given time in my server group. Marked For Death(my favorite mode) was more of a weekend thing, was pretty hard to find games during the week.

One of my favorite games of 2014 and I have zero regrets buying day 1. The movement system is seriously fantastic and stomping around in a titan is pretty satisfying as well. For 5 dollars if you like multiplayer shooters give it a chance.

I cant connect to any game, when the map is done loading (which takes forever) I just get an error saying : Server desynchronization.

Anyone knows what it is and how to fix it, considering a refund, google says to add the game to you firewall exemption and run as admin, but it doesnt work.

I can play other MP games like BF 4 and CS Go with 0 problems.

Is this game still fun and worth getting if you don't have any friends to play with you?
Its fun. Its not dead on PC but its far from vibrant and lively either: it feels like a game towards the end of its popularity with a small core remaining basically. At that price though even though you'll never experience it with all modes well populated and available you should have enough fun to cover the price.

Obviously given the relativel low population count the game could fizzle out online in the near future again id say at that price its not a big risk.

i'll give thumbs up. the work they've done on optimizing the engine over the last few patches is really awesome. runs super fast and flawlessly for me. its alot of fun i got bored after about 60 or so hours, i really wanted a true moba mode with buying and pushing,... oh well.

also the way theyve been dropping the price so much. just go f2p ea, sell some fucking hats or something.

It's closer to CoD meets Brink so make of that what you will. It hasn't got the skill ceiling of UT so you might find yourself getting bored quickly.

If you think that, you hit a personal skill ceiling. It's safe to ignore posts like these.

I haven't played it in a while but used a 360 controller when I did. It is one of the few PC FPS games where a controller is not a huge disadvantage thanks to the aim assist, I did fine.

Is the co-op horde mode included in the base $5 game? Or do I need the season pass? I do not have any real interest in the online vs. mode, but myself and a small group of friends love horde modes like in GoW3, Halo Firefight, etc.
