Aren't they just trying to be aggressive and trying to outsell Xbone? And the bigger the sales gap the harder it will be for Spencer to do another TR deal. Think about that. Besides, substantially more gamers will own a PS4 anyways, and the better hardware is guaranteed to be utilized fully.

we all might get upset but when xbox will be playing that card (just as they played the timed exclusivity deal last gen) then i can't say i will be against playstation doing the same because listen, xbox is gonna do it no matter what and there will always be some dev/pub who will be willing to go timed exclusive. if your competitor is doing it and as we can see people are stil supporting the brand then to hell with it. grab as many as you can and let your competitor have a taste of its own medicine.

yeah it sucks. i know.

the better hardware apparently tends to be put in the back burner once devs have reached what they deem is "acceptable performance".

And if it gets reveald my guess is we wont even recognize it anymore.

It's not a simple awards even this time, it's taking place on the same day that Sony released the PSone in Japan 20 years ago.

That makes a lot of sense. Instead of spending a lot of money preventing some games from coming to other consoles, it makes more business sense to distribute that money around and prevent lots of games from coming to PC.

Don't get my wrong my friend I'm all for a new IP, and would love for them to show what they can do outside of Killzone. However Mercenary was their first full Killzone and I'd love to see them come back! They also worked on a bit of Killzone 2, which is the most popular game in the series.

And since Guerrilla Games has moved away from Killzone onto Horizon (which is a new IP) I don't think there's anything wrong with Guerrila Cambridge possibly working on another Killzone. In my opinion it would be choice for the series if it were to continue.

True. I don't see Sony going after franchises of a similar state as TR, which would definitely draw tons of ire. Let's hope it is just either dormant or overlooked IP.

The reveal is an old ( Capcom?) IP going exclusive to PS4.

If it was a new IP no one would be saying "a nice surprise" because you wouldn't know what it is.
And it's confirmed to be from a 3rd party.

Thats the thing, the history behind the game is interesting enough and fans want to see it utilized with the best part of the game aka a Helghast game written by a competent GG team. We know they can write a good lore what they need is to hire someone to flush it out in the games they make.

I have a feeling it will be Breath of Fire.... or Darkstalkers
And i hope its not Bionic Commando ! the last game stil left a bitter taste in my mouth.

A high budget platformer like Crash developed by the likes of ND could be a game changer. There really is nothing like it. Mario is great it's not exactly ambitious.
