As a journalist myself who's dealt with embargoes, he's most likely indicating that today's opening presentation won't have a hint of those anticipated games. Of course, as he later points out they may see the light of day later in the show, but who knows really. Typically something as big as TLG or an old-school remake like Crash gets either a hefty embargo with only select journalists knowing or is kept a total secret. An example, my boss was told about WoW's Oceanic servers and I wasn't, so some things are kept quite close to heart.

Expect nothing, be surprised for everything.

Are you guys ignoring this? TLG/Crash/Shenmue3/HalfLife3/whatever is still a 'possibility' :p

what exactly does this mean in conjunction with his earlier tweet?

"no crash, tlg, etc."

...

"yeah there will be surprises"

It seems like hes saying we will get big surprises but no crash, the last guardian, shenmue... the games we've hyped this thing for

what he saw was not those games, not that they aren't going to be there.

Also:

- We got Naughty Dog's Eric Moncalli telling us there will be a "bunch of announcements" and stuff from SCE Worldwide Studios.

- We got Gio Corsi promising updates on #BuildingTheList including announcements and gameplay demos (Shenmue potential).

- We got Scott Rohde saying they'll be showing us a lot of stuff they probably shouldn't and that the event is "unprecedented."

- We got one leak with Street Fighter V, which is huge.

- We've got Amir0x saying he was told three things, SFV being one of them, and that there will be even more cool announcements he wasn't told about.

- We know there will be other publishers on stage, as EA's Peter Moore is bringing "presents" for PlayStation fans, too.

- This is PlayStation's 20th anniversary keynote. It's going to be big.

Mhm. Unfortunately this will probably also be largely ignored.

Some things I hope:

- FFXII Zodiac or new Tactics
- Valkyria Chronicles 4
- Dragon Quest 8 HD
- Gran Turismo 7
- Snatcher
- MGS1 HD
- Policenauts HD
- Steins Gate
- Persona 3 Golden
- Uncharted Trilogy HD
- Okami 2
- Onimusha 2 HD
- PS1, PS2 emulation

Don't give a rat's ass about Morpheus, and childish platformers like Crash and Spyro...

I was starting to like you when I read your list.. untill I saw the Crash comment.

:(

Me too. I loved Crisis Core, it's such a charming game with a great ending. Everyone knew how the game end (how FFVII begins) but it still packs such an emotional punch in the end. Zack was a great character. I rarely laugh when playing games but his antics/behaviour made me laugh so many times througout the game.
Agreed. The gameplay was pretty decent, but the characters and story are what made it so good. It also made playing VII again fresh. If there is ever a remake of VII that includes a remade Crisis Core, I would be there day one for the highest level Collector's Edition!

reads to me like he is saying if it were something that big like TLG or Crash or FF7 it wouldnt be in the press release

No.

He's saying that the surprise he knows isn't TLG or Crash. Doesn't mean Crash or TLG couldn't happen still, because he doesn't know all the surprises.

It's pretty simple.

Nobody has said anything confirming or denying that Crash, TLG, Shenmue, etc. will be there. The editor at Edge simply said the game he got the press release for wasn't any of those. It's been said that something as big as TLG or even a Crash reboot would likely be kept secret from everyone including press.

Hmm, this thread moves too fast and my phones not coping too well! I see some of tbe above posta now. I'm still keeping expectations in check though :p

Aww yisss. Hype increasing.

While I'm bummed that the Keynote is still around 19 hours away, I'm glad we at least get some new looks at The Order and Bloodborne at TGAs.

Ok guys who wants to guess what's legit bigger than SF5 tommorrow? Here are my choices:

1. Fallout 4 exclusive (how or why Bethesda would do this, I have no idea but I could ask the same question for Capcom on SF5)
2. The Last Guardian (although someone on Twitter possibily debunked it, if it did happen, GAF would brake)
3. An actual release date on FFXV?

I literally can not think of anything else. SF5 is going to be very difficult to top so Sony better back up those words tommorrow.

Well the guy who said it was bigger than SFV, meant that is was bigger to him personally, but probably not to the majority of people. He said that something that big wouldn't be sent out early, for fear of it being leaked.
