From another interviewHehehe, so it still doesn't answer if it was one-take or not.
We didnt do it all in one take, theres a few tricks in there to make it look like one take.
This movie is an origin story of Eggsy. The next movie will be the true modern day gentleman spy. I think it will be amazing to watch Eggsy go off and be a spy from beginning to the end of a movie.
Yeah, as i've already said, very smart and well timed match cuts + good camera work.No way in hell was that done in one take.
Here you go.From another interview
Anyone else feel a bit disconcerted about the global warming denialism in this movie, then flat out making the villain a Global warming advocate? The whole thing ended up seeming a bit like a gross Fox/News propaganda piece with awesome actions scenes. And then going so far as to imply Obama would go for such a plot and exploding his head. Plus the blatant Sun newspaper references.
I have:Anyone read the graphic novel? Any good? What did they change in the movie?
Listening to the Raid 2's commentary track Gareth Evans said that the long single take shot at the prison brawl had many cuts stitched together. He was like "and let me show you where I did some cuts, right here when he's stabbed in the neck CUT! And when this guy crawls away with a knife in his leg CUT! Oh and CUT! Here and here CUT!"I think when people refer to one take, they refer to the very beginning of the scene when, but i still think this moment has cuts. If it doesn't WOW.Firth moves through the aisle
The comic wasn't even about "Kingsman" right? Just MI6 agents.
Damn, they screwed you over. That was a great scene.
Anyway, I really loved it. I loved the line about how serious Spy movies are nowadays, because this movie is the total opposite. It was a just a fun, and extremely over the top ride.
Plus, I LOVED the reference to. I think I was the only one who got the reference in the scene with Eggsy and Merlin.Trading Places
the comic is bad.. i hope they don't follow it to much
Yeah I agree, Vaughn have a knack for taking good concepts and expanding it for the better. Now this is how you do a loose adaptation.Pretty much like Kickass, Vaughn took the better concepts from the book and made changes that would make Millar's story more likeable and awesome. I have no plans on reading the book, but the movie is definitely fucking great, and you shouldn't feel like you're missing anything by avoiding Millar's comic work and sticking with the movies.
Oh yeah, she was great. I think this was one of the few movies where I was a bit sad when the villains died. Valentine and Gazelle were amazing. We can all agree that Gazelle was one of the best villian hench(wo)men in a while, right? Up there with Mad Dog from the Raid, he's the only one I can really think of. Wish we had seen more of her
Also there was so much product placement I was surprised it wasnt a sony film. Mcdonalds, Guiness, The Sun, Adidas. Must have helped a lot with the budget quite a lot.
But it was done right and used for smart comedic purposes in the movie,Also there was so much product placement I was surprised it wasnt a sony film. Mcdonalds, Guiness, The Sun, Adidas. Must have helped a lot with the budget quite a lot.
Wish I can say the same thing about Wanted. I thought the movie was ok but then I read the book and realized just how much better and crazy it could have been if they had stuck to the original super villain plot instead of assassins.Pretty much like Kickass, Vaughn took the better concepts from the book and made changes that would make Millar's story more likeable and awesome. The church scene is fucking stellar, but how did you guys feel about the symphony of?head explosions
I saw an advanced screening of the film and the effects weren't fully done, and I still loved the shit out of that scene. Theatre kind of got silent during, and then exploded by the end.
I clapped too. I will always clap forAudience clapped like Americans finishing lunch.
I clapped too. I will always clap forexploding heads and anal.

Right? Really glad the overall opinion is positive on this one. I'm feeling a more R- rated action movie renaissance with this and John Wick.Just watched it. I came everywhere. So good
No, I got comic bufoonery. Nothing more.
i need to see this again. So enjoyable. Who was theamputee bodyguard for Valentine? She was hot. Is she really an amputee?
Good, good. The theater I saw it in was nearly empty so this is good. This needs to be a big successI'm standing in the lineup for Kingsmen. It's huge.
My afternoon showing was fully packed. I could've sworn someone brought a 9-year old kid into the theatre o_o

Those poor parents, thinking they're taking their kids to some family-friendly movie about a teenage spyOur theater was packed with old people and children during this one, heh.
It's the Pan's Labyrinth effect: trailer shows a movie with kid/teen as the main character = hey, it must be good for kids.Surprisingly a number of children in my showing, too. It's R in the US, but 14A in Canada, which is a bit more lax.
And one of the first lines in the movie? "FUCK."
