And when do they plan to release this? Because releasing it after Arkham Knight would make absolutely no sense .

Don't understand the complaining. If people haven't played the games before this can be a good opportunity for them. It also doesn't take alot of effect so the Main Studio is often uneffected, don't see the issue when their done right.

lol fuck man.

The only, literally the only remastered made sense to me was Halo.If it wasn't for the remastered you couldn't play old halo games online even if you had the console and old copies.

Seems dumb to not include Origins since that's the one most didn't play. Also releasing afte Arkham Knight seems kind of odd as well. Since I would think the remaster would be used to sell more people on Arkham knight.

Huh. I thought about this just the other day, not too surprising if it cones out. Will probably double dip. In part of the problem...

Nice. I finished all Batman games on a 360, but I might still buy it for the improved graphics and as a reminder of what happened before playing Arkham Knight.

I don't mind no Arkham Origins. It was far far worse than the previous games.

I'd love to see more remasters from 2 to 3 gens ago then just last gen. Anyways fans will likely enjoy this

Remasters don't really bother me so much. If movies can be rereleased for each new format why not games? It's nice for people that don't pc game to be able to pick up some old favorites.

Cool I've had those remasters since 2-3 years ago on pc for 5$ a piece. Can't wait for infinity blade remasters now!

....Does this spell bad news for Arkam Knight :(? I mean, why have an Remastered Collection of the PS3/360 Arkam games when you have the brand new next-gen version coming out so soon?

I feel like this is to cover up another delay for Arkam Knight, but that just may be the cynic in me talking :l.

Anyway, if the games run at a higher resolution and frame rate alongside having all the DLC, then that sounds nice :). I do wonder why Arkam Origins is being excluded from this collection though (as it would add even more value to it; the game is more or less Arkam City 2, so it has a ton of content to play with :D)...

Regarding the whole remaster crazy, I'm not upset by this, as it looks to be a great deal (as you are getting two games for 40/60 bucks instead of just one). It isn't like the GOWIII Remaster coming soon which ONLY has GOWIII with little improvements; this should offer a more stable frame-rate to the games, decrease the load times, increase the draw distance and more :D.

It ends when people stop buying them. And why do they need to die a horrible death? People want them, they aren't stopping their sequels from being released, who gives a shit?

Exactly. People are obviously buying these remasters and youve got no end to GAFers begging for their favorite 4 year old games to be remastered. I cant say I blame publishers for not leaving easy money on the table.

My question is... when is this going to end? Remasters need to die a horrible death.

I always find this kind of attitude odd. It's a chance for people to play a game they may have missed out on during the last generation, but not only that, it's a chance for the games to shine in 1080p and possibly 60fps. We're in an era where these type of games take a very long time to produce; I don't mind that these remasters exist. Outside of the small minority of gamers who consume every AAA title, most of us miss out on a significant portion of these titles. I didn't get the chance to play Tomb Raider, GTAV and the Metro series on the PS3/360. I'm glad I get the opportunity on the PS4. Even with something like The Last Of Us, which I did play, it's great to see it properly shine on new tech, rather than replaying it on a struggling PS3.

Long live remasters. Games aren't as disposable as the consoles that they exist on.

I'm assuming there isn't any extra content since no PC port was announced.

Although, I'm sure Rocksteady find a way to tease their next project after Batman either in this or Knight.

January 28th, 2014: A day that will live in infamy.

I used to be pretty adamant about playing all these remasters but this is getting discouraging for me. I don't have time to re-play all my favourite games from last gen + all the new games coming this gen. I was going to play the following remasters:

GTAV (already released)
Sleeping Dogs (already released)
Mass Effect (unannounced, but who wouldn't expect this)
Bioshock (unanounced, but who wouldn't expect this)

I'm going to skip out on them though (and the Arkham games). I think I'd rather play Ori or Oddworld New N Tasty or White Night or something new than to do a retread of a favourite game of mine. Don't get me wrong - I think remasters are great for people who haven't played a particular game. Case in point - I never played DmC or Borderlands and I'll gladly pick up those remasters. But I am so over the idea of getting excited about replaying a remastered version of one of my favourite games.

Next Christmas if Google Translate is correct. Don't see who should buy this when a bunch of new games just came out. This would have made sense last summer or so.

Lets say this is real. IGN Italy is saying possibly Holiday release date for remasters? Released after Arkham Knight? What are the chances that Arkham Knight is getting delayed to Holiday? Please No.

Its already got delayed for 8 months. If its delayed again, something is seriously wrong with the game.

Would this "remaster" look better than the current PC versions maxed out? If not, then don't even bother. And even if it would, I think Arkham City still looks absolutely incredible maxed out.

I'm curious if they're going to overhaul Asylum's combat. It always takes me a time to adjust to Asylum's wonky combat after having getting used to the perfect City combat. Makes the new playthroughs kind of a pain.

Stop with the same fucking comments every thread.

You don't like remasters, don't buy them.

If enough people are in your boat, companies will stop releasing them.

Until then, shut up, let people who love the games so much they want to replay a higher quality version, or those who never got to play it a first time decide with their wallets.

The same thing you should be doing.

If it's not affecting the release of new games (and in most cases, it helps fund them) then it's not hurting anyone.

the more they announce things like this, aside delays for original games and few exclusive, the more I'm happy with my old PS3...
