I bet it is only Gears 1 and I wouldn't mind that at all.
Raven Down and Gridlock remain insta-classic maps from the first game for me.
You know what would be nice. If this was offered as an xbox live gold game. Would sell (I'll let percy answer that) consoles, and get people back on that xbox live juice.
Gridlock was easily the best but Rooftops and Canals hold a special place in my heart.
and they worked on the March 2015 content update for Halo MCC it seems so they obviously have started working with MS quite a lot recently.
Source for this?
Would be kinda ridiculous now and whould shed another bad light on 343.
Sry for offtopic.
Favorite memory of that map was sniping a grub weapon sliding the sniper. It was great.Canals and the run for the sniper rifle was always a blast.
I wonder how well this has aged? When Gears of War came out the fact that it was a third-person shooter was somewhat of a novelty. A lot of people doubted the idea of a TPS in the face of the dominance of first-person shooters. Nowadays there are numerous games with TPS mechanics along with other mechanics mixed in. I just don't know how the corridor crawler gameplay design will hold up today.
Oh my god if Splash Damage were the ones to 'fix' MCC.
The message it sends about 343...yikes.

343i main team are busy on H5, I don't know really how much they were involved in development itself, don't want to take resources from their games I guess
Never said I bought all of them.Buying 40 games only to never finish any. Makes sense.

Very little to do with Microsoft really. You walk into a thread, make a stupid post. What are you adding exactly? Go and do the same in a thread about other games and you'll get the same response, although I suspect you won't do it.
You don't bother to explain why as usual, I can't see that Splash Damage have some terrible reputation, what is so lolable about Splash Damage that you probably fell out of your chair? Just a petty cheap shot.
Embarrassing for you really then make it seem like you're being jumped on and people are defensive, heh.
Actually I have made similar posts on a number of occasions. For example my post in this thread: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1002194&page=3
You'll note no one batted an eyelid, same as on most other occasions when I post thusly. How odd :/
I did 'explain' when asked though. Because they made Brink (The last title of theirs I played), which was a pretty bad game.
Yes, clearly I've been imagining all the oversensitive Microsoft fans taking potshots and making ad hominems at me on a regular basis even in threads I haven't posted in because I'm known to criticise Microsoft on occasion.
I'm not the one that should be embarassed, those of you that tried to derail the thread because of my post are imo.
Whenever I go into a microsoft thread I make sure to look for percy's 2 cents. WWPP (what would percy post) tbh percy, imo your'e my favorite neo gaffer. Don't ever stop being worried and condenscending! tbh.

This is almost as bad as his initial post. Good to see he affects your daily GAF activities.
no my sarcasm meter isn't broken haha

Shouldn't have edited in the spoiler. Now your comment seems pointless.
Are you kidding? Most AAA releases nowadays STILL funnel you down a corridor and don't have shooting mechanics that feel as good as GOW1's either.
Me and some freinds hopped back on Gears 1 when it got released on GwG a while back. I can tell you it's still as fun as it ever was.
Its been a while since I've played it, but from what I remember it was very much a corridor you were moving down. I don't really remember any open areas at all, but again its been a while. I agree though, its shooting mechanics felt very good, I am just not sure if it has enough to stay

What's the Gears 3 population like these days? Ghost town?Think I'll have a Gears night tonight.
Re-installed them all when they let us use external hard drives.
next year is the 10th anniversary of gears
holy shit..

Just had a look
551 playing Horde worldwide
116 Beast
About 6000 in the various Versus mode
More than I expected to be honest.

The number should be high but before it all game modes were at a good 0Can you check Judgment? It dissapeared from Top 20 shortly after launch, would love to see number after it became free on GwG.
Honestly I just want a focus on Warzone and Execution again. I'm not a fan of Team Deathmatch in Gears.
I also miss the lobby system. Everything about it. Make a room, set the match rotation yourself, and just play. Wanna play Gridlock? Set up or find a Gridlock room and have at it. I have never like Matchmaking in Gears and have always wanted thr lobby system to return.
This is why having ranked matchmaking is a mustYou play ranked? Waiting 20-30 minutes for a match and then having people drop out stunk.
