I just turned on my PS4 which is a secondary console for my account and I can't play any of the games I bought. PT is still installed.

What I don't understand is why they removed it from PSN at all. Yes, it's a teaser for Silent Hills, but surely they could have patched in a hastily made custom ending that got rid of the ST reveal? They still would make money from PT on its own and all this has done is make me pissed that I can never play it because I opted to wait for a PS4 Slim.

There's a feeling you get when you miss out on a multiplayer game experience because the servers died or all the players move on. I never thought I'd get the same sad feeling from a single player game that is not even a year old!

It is that way with any title not available in the store. Here in Germany, Dying Light has never been sold, neither physically nor as download. Got this game via US store download, but couldn't Share Play it with my brother.

I think this is because each game you Share Play leaves an Icon to quickly purchase it from the store if you liked what you saw. Sales surely is not at the end of the list of purposes for this service. If it isn't in the store, you can't Share Play it.

Well they never charged for PT, it was a marketing piece after all. I think the reason they didn't patch is simple business. It costs money to patch the game and submit it, and it costs them money in bandwidth for everyone who downloads it. So for Konami's POV, they were paying to distribute a teaser for a product that was basically dead after the fallout with Kojima. Practically speaking it makes sense to yank it. It also makes them asshats, but whatever.

Actually, eBay has been taking down auctions for consoles with P.T installed... Selling PSN accounts violates the ToS:
