It will exceed your expectations from a mobile title, but fall slightly short of your expectations for a PS4/XBO game.
It will exceed your expectations for a Final Fantasy story, but will fall slightly short of your expectations for an ARPG.
I loved the hell out of it. Measure your expectations and then let the high points of the game blow you away.
Oh, and turn on Japanese voice-overs, the English ones suck.
Jumping from console to PC in the Japanese market is like jumping from the Titanic into purgatory.

Pretty happy about this! I wanted this to hit PC more than FF13, so I can't wait.
Neat, I wanted to check this one out at some point and would much rather do so on PC. Not surprising though.

My guess is they'll announce it following the console release. They know they can get people to double dip at a high price and will take advantage of it.
It's better than any 13 game I played, although it's not like that's a really hard thing to do.

Lol, they held it back because they knew they couldn't get a PC version of Duscae ready 'cause of the workload on the team / without announcing FFXV for PC and the "problems" it would cause announcing that version "early". I haven't even popped in Type-0 HD once, making it the second version of the game I've bought, yet barely/never touched.
Day 1 for Type-0 on PC.

So not only are you telling me I will be able to play Type-0 with motion blur turned off, but that there is a chance for XV coming to PC??? Im praying.

Didn't the the console versions of this bomb, at least in Japan? Probably trying recoup costs ASAP. Regardless, they couldn't release this on PC day one with console without the FFXV demo being there as well.
Worldwide it seems like they sold through around 1/2 of their original shipment. Which is... not good, considering the demo inclusion.

Pretty much all of their PC ports of FF games have been pretty lazy aside from FF14, which leads on PC.
They've also been made by DotEmu and, uhm, SE's janitors? Given the timing of this announcement, Hexadrive should be involved with this one, so there is reason to be hopeful.

Anyway, somewhat OT, but I'd still like FF13-3 on PC, it can't be worse than the console version and I want to try the game at some point.
I am kinda shocked by this, but also happy by this announcement. More games on more platforms is simply better for everyone.
Square-Enix is a very interesting example, because save for their MMOs their traditional franchises typically ignore PC. I think it goes without saying that if a game's not exclusive to one platform, it 'risks' coming to PC.

If it had been made by SE's janitors it might have been ok. It's not like Hiroyuki Ito has been doing anything except polishing Kawazu's SaGa dishes at SE anyway.
They can just outsource it.

FFXV on PC would be awesome. Better IQ and someone could work hard and mod in a FFX style battle system
It's Computex. That is the biggest tech trade expo in Asia. Square knew what they were doing.
I'd say that if the eventual PS4 verison of KH1.5/2.5 comes out on PC, every major square title will be on PC from that point out.
That may be up to Disney.

Oh. I see. When are we supposed to see such announcement ? As long as it's not a mistake on their side... I mean, announcing something that won't happen.
It talks about Computex, which is this week, so we should probably hear more by the end of the week.

Resolution and FPS issues. Games like to randomly lock their FPS to 30 even when barely using the GPU or CPU.

They have weird frame-pacing issues that never were resolved. Also, if it wasn't for Duarante they wouldn't run over 720p resolutions. Other than that (and a lack of graphical options and well..options in general) they run quite well.
