I really think people are underestimating Miami. They got hit by the injury bug bad, but if they can hold onto Wade and he manages to stay healthy, I like their chances of making the Finals.

I think people are underestimating the Spurs too. They have had a nice long offseason to rest and get healthy. If they can sign Aldridge, they will be very dangerous.

Even if they don't make any big moves, I still think they will be the favorites.

GS will be good, but they need better big men. It's the glaring weakness on their team.

I dunno there aren't a lot of great big men out there to punish them for it. Not to mention solid post play is a dying breed.

I think GS biggest worry is keeping their talent together. Seems like most of the team will be still be there for another year or two, but they're already into the luxury tax and people will want to get paid

Everyone else agrees Blatt is a terrible coach right?

Who should replace him?

Well, look at how a similarly conventional team like Memphis was taken apart piece by piece despite first team all defense players on Curry and Klay both(Mike Conley, Larry Allen). Cavaliers stayed very smart on defense in doubling Steph off screens all series and denying Klay the ball and they stayed disciplined, forcing Iggy/Barnes/Green to brick a lot of important shots.

On offense, it's not like he had options. I thought the only miscue was a reactionary decision to not play Mozgov at all in game 5. The rest was on point, despite the clown narrative.

So no, based on this series, I wouldn't agree that Blatt is terrible.

From what the rumor mills have been churning Dallas is likelier to sign him than the Spurs. Just adds more fuel to the fire of our rivalry. Worried about losing our bench players, especially Green. Even though I have a serious love/hate relationship with him his defense is very good at times.

Not much of a warriors fan, but I do like all of the players except green, and he was my favorite college player then he got cocky these past two years, so congrats to the Warriors. I don't see them repeating though I got okc or the clippers coming out of the west and Miami coming out of the east

To be fair, GS went above and beyond during the regular season to try and minimize injuries through their fatigue monitoring system. It will be interesting to see if more coaching staffs follow Kerr's lead on that next season.

That probably has something to do with it, but it's not every year that the top one or two guy (and sometimes both) was injured in every single playoff series you had while your team avoided similar catastrophe.

The West will be competitive. I don't think GS will become a dynasty for that reason, but they'll be a top 3 seed for sure.

With all respect to Iguadala, the Warriors didn't find a way to chink the Cavs armor. They found a way to exploit the giant chinks that were already there.

I don't know if we'll repeat or anything. We could get injured next year and it's so competive in the west these days. But fuck it, we da best right now.

Dat triple double to clinch the title tho. Draymond backs it up.

He's not terrible, just the wrong coach at the wrong time.

He honestly is not that bad. Tough to say with all their injuries.

Thibs, but Kyrie and Love would get hurt and LeBron plays 48 min in meaningless December blowouts against the Kings and Nuggets.

I'm jumping the gun calling him terrible. Situational is better, but even when the Cavs are back in shape I don't think he's the right fit.

I give him props for coming up with a surprisingly strong defensive team out of a bench and Lebron but he wasn't able to adjust later on the series. And he kinda seemed to crack under pressure with some of his very questionable decisions.

Idk I don't think he is the right fit for Cavs.

I feel like Mike Brown could've done a better job sometimes during the series lmao

West should be interesting, Ty Lawson might be another player that could join the Rockets or Mavs via trade according to reports.

Dragic
Wade
Deng
Bosh
Whiteside

That's a better starting five than clevelands.

We need a deeper bench though. McBob coming back is going to be huge, outside of he and Chalmers, I don't have a lot of confidence in the bench. I guess James Ennis could be decent, since he is pretty athletic, same thing with Tyler Johnson.

McRoberts being healthy is gonna be huge. Napier if he develops to not be useless. I've given up on Ennis being anything but a benchwarmer. Like i said it all depends on what we do with that 10th pick

Was Blatt a terrible coach when they went on like a 30-3 during a stretch the 2nd half of the season?

I figure that was more the players getting used to one another and finding chemistry than him coming up with a secret formula.

Also didn't LeBron finally get out of his rut where he played like trash? (Not sure didn't watch this season just from comments people made in this thread)

I mean I'm ok with trash talking players, but when you talk trash to a coach and not just any coach but to Doc Rivers, that's where you just need to shut up. He's also a huge flop probably the second or first biggest flop next to harden, and this is coming from someone who doesn't have a problem with contact flops to sell a call because that's what basketball players are taught to do including myself from my coaches, but when you clearly don't get touched at all that's where I draw the line.

Honestly didn't know there was a finals thread but congrats to the Dubs. Honestly, I think Kyrie getting injured was the best thing to happen to the Cavs from a winning the series standpoint. I'm on the fence about if Love would've been a factor.

Nonetheless, LeBron played an amazing series. If the Cavs can stay healthy and Kyrie improves on defense, they'll be right back in the Finals since it looks like the East is gonna keep on being East.

People shitting on Bron for using HGH need to open their eyes and look at the NBA Finals' MVP's own delts

NBA drug-testing is a humongous joke

Wouldn't be surprised if a very big chunk of the league was on gear
