That's fine with me Mircosoft. I have a PC so I don't need an Xbox for either games.

Ok... Not sure why you quoted my post if you are tired of discussing the subject. I stand by my statement, anyways. How so?
What if they couldn't get the game done as envisioned without signing a contract?
...you know what, I'm tired of discussing all this funding stuff here. It's hopeless.
Cuphead looking way more fun than No Man's Sky IMO.

I have no desire to buy an xbox one.

I don't understand how you jumped to this comparison. They both look great.
I have a PC and XB1, but never heard of either game. Is this another case of minor indies game's importance getting exaggerated over console wars?

Cuphead devs said MS was helping them with the game during the Xbox conference. That should've been a clear sign right there.
Cuphead and NMS are both console exclusives, by indie devs, with support from the console makers, and both coming to PC. How do you not get the comparison? They're both huge games for their respective consoles.
I wouldn't be surprised if 'lifetime' means 'until its stopped selling'.
Both Sony and MS don't really view PC as competition. I'm sure they've done their market research to make sure they don't cannibalize their own console sales. At the end of the day there's very little overlap outside hardcore gaming forums like this. I think you'll continue to see Microsoft published games on PC.I really love how so many "exclusives" are also on PC. It's really great for me even though I have everything I prefer PC when I can. Consoles still have exclusive exclusives like Halo and Uncharted so and often time timed exclusivity on things that might come to PC eventually (like FF Type-0 HD).

Sony's helped out indie devs with games that have ended up on XB1. I'm guessing MS have some IP ownership here.
Why do people feel the need to post this?
I remember someone from Sony (I think it was Adam Boyes) saying that when they help an indie with development, they only ask for timed exclusivity. I think it was when he said "exclusivity doesn't benefit anyone".

It sounded more like Sony's relationship with Bloodborne to me i.e. it's a PS4 exclusive because they helped make the game.
But PCs use Windows?to spite MS
