The lack of posts is a side effect of having FF7R and Shenmue 3 announced after this with the closing Uncharted 4 section and Horizon getting some serious love as well.
Man, Sony really knocked it out of the park. I'm not sure they can top that.
they're not going to top this no, but next E3 should be amazing as well. God of War 4, GT7, more Horizon and TLG gameplay, Amy Hennig's Star Wars,....maybe Crash Bandicoot >_>
The more I watch the demo, the stranger the criticism against this game grows.
Did you guys notice that, in order for Toriko to swing its tail low enough to catch the boy, it actually took a step down in the structure of the bridge? And how about how fluidly he animates between "states", to the point where it's actually hard to point the transitions? Or how it got startled by the vase that was in its way? How the whole sequence of it running from the falling bridge being completely dynamic and how you're climbing up Toriko as it happens? How GOOOOD the music is?
Yeah, i've said it before but this game is really going to be a masterpiece. There's already so much just from this snippet of gameplay.
The lore/story told through design - the chain engravings on the stairs you go down right outside the hall Trico comes out of at the beginning. The structure that scares Trico and turns his eyes purple/pink...how they change back to normal after you destroy it..
The charm of the main character as well as Trico, the native language the boy speaks which is foreign yet endearing. The child-like tone he has when almost falling off ledges, or how his feet shuffle as he tries so hard to push a trolley.
The believability of Trico - how he moves and animates, and interacts with objects and the environment around him. The details on his design and physics working on his feathers...
The scale and consistency of the environment, the lighting, and oh my god the music.
Ueda is a genius.
